Top 8 Sitcom Characters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When they do the sound of music business man scene I lose it. I love showing this to my daughter.

My other fave is when Bruce McCullah gets in the guitar battle with Satan.

Watched this last night and we all got hyped and no one could go to sleep without crying.

Played it for my 4 year old, as soon as he saw Mark McKinney he said "That's the funny guy." Great stuff.

yeah mine is almost 4 and loves the sound of music. She thinks this is hilarious, but can't tell exactly why or how it is connected to the movie. We watched it 4 times in a row lol

Does The Wonder Years count? I'd think it's more dramady, but if anyone thinks it counts, John Arnold deserves on a list.

And Daniel Stern, though the narrator and not a character, he was 100% the 'voice' of the show

I loved this show as a kid. I think it is a sitcom, but definitely in that dramady category.

Did you ever watch the youtube version where they removed the narration? It is unsettling. It is a lot of Kevin just looking at people and not saying anything after they talk to him lol. Must have been very strange for the actors when the director was saying "pause for narration"

Just off the top of my head:
Norm (Cheers)
Laverne (not Shirley)
Hank Hill (animated but chock full of great characters!)
Jonah (Veep)
Kenny Powers (Eastbound and Down)
Mallory (Archer - more animation)
Jack (30 Rock)
Fish (Barney Miller)

No because this forum is predominately 30-40 year olds, not aging boomers of a time long lost.

Plus most older comedies haven't aged particularly well. Seinfeld is about the only show with a laugh track that doesn't make me want to kill myself.

almost killed myself watching the beverly hillbillies once. Was eating carrots, laughed so hard one got stuck in my wind pipe. While I could just barely get any air, I had to think about how the the heimlich maneuver actually worked and simulate it to get the piece of carrot out.

Kept eating the carrots and nearly did the same thing later in the show.

I assume you meant it in a different, way, though.

Schreech
Chandler Bing
Rick Sanchez
Sheldon Cooper
Janitor from Scrubs
Mr. Garrison
Captain Holt
Abed

I disqualified Seinfeld because I could do 8 from that show, easy.

Nothing like a 60's rural comedy to lodge a root vegetable in your wind pipe...take a dip in the cee-ment pond and relax.
