Trade Ideas 24-25

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cavs get: Julian Champagnie
Spurs get: Jaylon Tyson

Why?
Cavs add a wing to help them win now.
Spurs get a promising prospect for their rebuild.

Who would Julian Champagnie take minutes from?

I’m starting to feel more concerned about an actual big than a wing. Watching some of the energy Caris has put out defensively and with the flexibility Mobley and Allen give us. I might be fine rolling with our million SG body types but maybe I’m just being a prisoner of the moment.

Good question, I think he'd get some of LeVert, Wade and Niang minutes.

Levert is already averaging the lowest mpg since his rookie year. Niang has his lowest mpg since leaving Utah. Wade is only averaging 22mpg.

Champagnie is averaging more mpg in San Antonio than all 3 of the guys you're mentioning on the Cavaliers. So, even if you cut Champagnie to 20mpg, you're taking all 3 of those guys into the 15mpg mark. With that info I ask again, who is he taking minutes from?

Well when Wade goes on midseason vacation to the bahamas and comes back with knee soreness that knocks him out for two months Champagnie can have his minutes.

So now you're trading Tyson *and* Wade for Champagnie?

And now no small ball 5, or one of your best wing defenders...

Just because Jaylon Tyson isn't playing on a 14-0 team?

Cavs trade: Caris LeVert, Jaylon Tyson and '25 Bucks srp
Bulls trade: Patrick Williams and Dalen Terry

Why?
Cavs gamble on Williams, adding size on the wing. Terry is intriguing as well.
Bulls unload Williams without attaching a premium asset, get a solid guard prospect, and a high 2nd rounder in a strong draft.

Trade is possible after Dec 15th.

Giving up too much. I'm not sure i do caris for pat straight up.

I don't know, I feel like we need at least one tall wing if we want to get past Boston.

Edit: Also concerned about LeVert's injury and availability.

Swap out Levert, Strus, Niang, and Wade along with a bevy of 2nds and possibly even the 2030 1st for Atlanta’s DeAndre Hunter, Bogan Bogdanovic, and Larry Nance Jr.

Then send out Okuro to Washington for Jonas Valanciunas.

With Cavs being a luxury tax team, they need to bring back 110% of salary out.

All 4 of Hunter/Bogdanovic/Nance Jr/Valanciunas totals approximately 58million in salary needing sent out.

PG: Darius Garland
SG: Donovan Mitchell
SF: De’Andre Hunter
PF: Evan Mobley
C: Jarrett Allen

PG: Ty Jerome
SG: Sam Merrill
SF: Bogdan Bogdanovic
PF: Larry Nance Jr
C: Jonas Valanciunas

PG: Craig Porter Jr
SG: Luke Travers
SF: Jaylon Tyson
PF: Emoni Bates
C: Tristan Thompson

Cavs get: Patrick Williams, Dalen Terry and Adam Sanogo
Bulls get: Max Strus, Jaylon Tyson, Emoni Bates, '30 pick swap, '31 unprotected first and 2 2nds ('25 Bucks, '27 Nuggets)

Why?
Cavs add size on the wing.
Bulls get a solid rebuilding package.
