Trade Ideas 24-25

Cavs get: Patrick Williams, Dalen Terry and Adam Sanogo
Bulls get: Max Strus, Jaylon Tyson, Emoni Bates, '30 pick swap, '31 unprotected first and 2 2nds ('25 Bucks, '27 Nuggets)

Why?
Cavs adds size on the wing.
Bulls get a solid rebuilding package.
Might as well send them Mobley for vuc too

To Cavs:
Jalen Suggs
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Cole Anthony

To Magic:
Darius Garland
Ty Jerome
Sam Merrill

Do I think the Magic would do this? No. But man I love Suggs and maybe with all the shooting coming to them in this trade, they’d bite. KCP has been bad to start the season, and Jerome has been good.

Will continue searching for teams they may want Garland…

Some deal centered around Garland and Okoro/Tyson for VanVleet and Eason/Smith Jr. would be nice.

I'm with you on Suggs....perfect fit on this team. Defense!

Under the radar trade idea- CPJ & JT Thor (need to add him for salary purposes) to the Rockets for Cam Whitmore.

Why Houston does it - I have no idea :)
Why Cavs do it - Cam Whitmore has the size and athletic ability this team needs. 6'7" and has some nice raw ability. Has NBA body and watching his highlights, he appears to have some real offensive talent. And the size/strength we need on the wing. And he is not in the Rockets rotation and may not even be in their future plans. And he'd be cheap to acquire

Cavs get: Patrick Williams and Dalen Terry
Bulls get: Simone Fontecchio, Georges Niang and 2 2nds ('25 Bucks, '27 Nuggets).

Pistons get: Max Strus

Why?
I feel like this trade benefits all sides. Cavs need size at the wing, they address that in this trade.

Chicago dumps Patrick Williams, who just signed a pretty juicy 5-year contract. They also get some good role players and a couple 2nd rounders, and finally, they save some money.

Detroit adds a veteran shooter who played for Bickerstaff.

You could swap Strus for LeVert, but I honestly think LeVert is far more important than Strus. Also, LeVert played for Atkinson when he was in Brooklyn, there is some familiarity there.

Wish we could afford Valanciunas... guy is massive and extremely physical. Would be perfect in the Eastern Conference Playoffs to beat up guys like Towns, Porzingis, Lopez, Robertson, Issac. A guy that I think could put us over and in to the finals.

Why couldn’t we afford him? He and Okuro are almost an identical swap salary wise.. and they have had interest in Okuro in the past. With Strus returning, it would definitely be something worth exploring.

PG- Kyrie
SG- D Mitch
SF- LeBron
PF- Mobley
C- Allen

Bench: Love, Jerome, Okoro, Merrill, Porter Jr., (insert buyout ring chaser)

Hang the damn banner. We're running 2016 back. :chuckle:

Didn't realize he was this affordable. Seems like a great discount. I'd trade Niang for him tomorrow if Washington would.

So here is your wing.
To Jazz: Okoro, Levert
To Cavs: John Collins

Collins takes Okoro's minutes and produces much more.
Losing Vert is an issue. But Strus can play the 2. Plus LeVert is gone after this season anyway.
