Trade ideas: Offseason edition

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
lol it was your trade idea from yesterday that I responded to. It was terrible trade idea. Yes they don't need him now anyway now that they got somebody like Kemba smh They didn't need him after their weak offers like your proposal equated to, forced them into drafting 2 point guards and a combo guard and still having to resign Rose and go get a buyout vet.
NY last season was a fluke and they will be on the treadmill for awhile but they cannot trade a pick they already owe to another team.
For all the faults of this org in the past, at least this time they are trusting their process of development. Selling low on Sexton was never a good option and if they really were doing that it would have happened long before free agency.
Appreciate the kind words. I’m not sure what you’re talking about since both Charlotte & Dallas owe 1st round picks to NY and, as far as I know, the Knicks haven’t traded their pick

You got that right CHA gives them a pick 19-30 . my mistake
Either way Knox sucks and the Cavs would not agree to this type of deal or they already would have imo.

A lot of people think the Knicks may fall back into the lottery this year since they overachieved last year and so many teams in the East are improved. Indiana will be much better just having Rick Carlisle as their coach. Da Bulls have added Lonzo Ball & DeRozan along with Alex Caruso.

Knox is still just 21, was picked right after Sexton, and you can’t write him off just yet.

Uh Yes I can lol
Knox is the opposite of Sexton from a work and improvement standpoint. I mean c'mon man you want to get a unknown meh first and a kid the NY org would gladly give away based on his current production if someone would just take him just so you don't have a small back court? I would trade Garland for a 2 way point guard that can compliment Sexton before I gave Sexton away like that.

NOP sends Cavs their 2022 First Round Pick, Top 5 protected.

Why for NOP? They need to be relevant this year to keep Zion around long term. They just lost Ball, and need another ballhandler and scorer from the guard spot. Sexton is good enough now to put NO in the playoff hunt, and young enough to be part of a core going forward.

Why for Cavs: Murphy fits perfectly in the 3&D mold we need. He's a multi-positional defender, giving us flexibility really take advantage of Okoro/Murphy/Mobleys ability to switch. His height will help punish teams that might want to run small ball to take away Mobley as a weapon. The first round pick next year is a likely late lottery pick. Iwundu is sort of a throw in to make salaries work -- you could also potentially upgrade this to Marshall or Lewis if you need more value from the Cavs side.

Graham isn't nearly as good as Sexton. But he fills the same role Sexton does. And Pelicans already gave up their first for Graham. Zero reason for pelicans to go after Sexton now.

Aha - I missed that signing.

Does this trade make any sense at all?

Cleveland receives: Jonathan Isaac & Terrence Ross

Why?

Cleveland gets a much needed wing. Ross is added to match salaries.

Orlando gets an unprotected first from a team that could miss the playoffs.

SF: Jonathan Isaac / Cedi Osman / Dylan Windler

Since we really need a wing, how about Jalen Johnson? The Hawks have a logjam @ the forward positions.

Cleveland receives: Jalen Johnson

Why?

Cleveland gets a much needed wing.

Atlanta gets a sharpshooter & a first round pick.

PG: Darius Garland / Ricky Rubio / Kevin Pangos

SF: Jalen Johnson / Cedi Osman / Lamar Stevens
PF: Evan Mobley / Lauri Markkanen / Dean Wade / Kevin Love
