Traded: Javale McGee

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hartenstein has an interesting skillset. Wonder if he can get the minutes McGee played to see if he has anything to offer. Still only 22. Has range and has shown some shot blocking skills.

oh... i like this trade! complementary big for JA. a little bit smaller, but quicker. also plays smart and within himself. will have extended minutes against teams playing small ball.

And I think Denver is a good landing spot for him. With LeBron and AD dinged up, the West is gettable.

I agree 100%

Denver is starting to click and this helps.

I didnt know he was that type of veteran. Just always assumed he was still the headcase from those Wizards dumbasses (Blatche, Arenas, Deshawn Stevenson, Crittendon, etc). Amazing to see him grow up, mature and ultimately bring a veteran championship leadership influence to our young kids to counter the Drummond/KPJ storms of this campaign.

I really liked what Denver had prior to this trade. I still think there are deals to be made to push them over the top, but they are in an excellent spot.

They've done such a good job of building a deep and talented roster.

If this is the only move Koby has up his sleeve he can turn his resignation on Monday! This move doesn’t even make the needle quiver. What is the purpose of this move! Two “protected” second round picks? WTF?

I dont want them to trade for Aaron Gordon. They're supposedly #2 right behind Boston with him in their shopping cart.

I think he throws a wrench in their team construction and his 16 mil is up next year so he'll be looking to get paid right after they have to pay MPJ this summer.

I think they need to turn Gary Harris into a reliable 3-D wing to compliment Barton and Murray's scoring abilities, potentially add a defensive 4, and contend for the next 5 years

Relax when we gave away a productive big man who isn’t even making that much money to hurt the cap for a guy who hasn’t done squat in this league????? And for two “protected” second round picks! If you can tell or show me the logic in that I’ll calm down.
A top-46 protected 2023 second round and a 2027 unprotected second round picks

hartenstein is a good back up center. young and fits the timeline. think zach collins when he's healthy.

I like this trade.

2023 top 46 protected 2nd rounder
2027 unprotected 2nd rounder
Hartenstein, a young big who's worth a gamble.

I agree with the above post - nothing but respect for JaVale. He could have complained after winning a title and getting traded to a bad/young team... nope.. never did.. Played his job/role great and never complained once.

Best of luck Javale.. You've made a fan of me

The scary part is -- anybody complaining about our haul here for McGee is going to have a straight mental breakdown when they see what we get for Drummond (which will likely be a buyout)

Might want to have a few straight jackets on hand for the absolute meltdowns we see in a few hours.
