Collin straight up for Cam Reddish? I'm not that high on Cam...he seems like his floor is like Terrence Ross though. Not terrible. I'd probably do it.

Sexton has similar numbers as Jamal Murray and will cost much less. I think his stats maybe a little inflated because of the Cavs being bad, but he's definitely better than the other volume scoring guards like Schröder or Clarkson.

Restricted free agency should give us more clarity to what he's actually worth, highly doubt he gets into a situation like Schröder did. Be willing to bet that Sexton actually gets offers around that 84-90m range.

Lakers, Nets, Knicks, or Dallas could really use a player like Sexton. Not sure if the Cavs would get anything decent back in a sign and trade with any of them or if those teams are even able to make the trade work under their cap restrictions.

Hypothetically, if Collin and not Darius were to get traded, what does everyone think we could get back? I guess I'm more curious to find out what other people think his value is, because I don't have him having much value around the league. He's good at what he does, but really only does one thing, like a garlic press or an oyster knife. Like, I would trade him to Detroit(who seem like a good fit for him; tall point guard, not a ton of scoring outside of Grant) straight up for Saddiq Bey if the salaries worked, but I feel like there are a lot of people who would think we'd be getting ripped off in that trade.

I was thinking of a Garland for Saddiq + Diallo trade before (provided we keep Rubio).

Saddiq Bey would be a fantastic, fantastic get but I think straight up for Sexton is indeed a little lacking. Some smaller asset would have to be coming with I assume. Nothing big.

Feels like a panic trade.. Collin wants to get paid. He is knows he has to impact winning to do that.. There are a number of decent 3s that are coming to the end of a first contract and becoming rfas.. Bridges, cam johnson , Reddish, not all of those guys are getting paid. We are going to be better this year than last, Love will reach the end of his contract, and we are going to still have a lottery pick next summer. I don't want to knee here and be mediocre..

I like Reddish, but think we'd need more from the Hawks. Also, I'm not sure what Sexton brings to the Hawks, who already have Young, Huerter, Bogey, & Lou Williams? If the Hawks make a move, it should be for a guy like Bradley Beal at SG and they absolutely have the assets to get him.

Bagley and buddy heild for reddish probably works better for both teams.. maybe we could get Reddish for a rejuvenated Cedi and Markkenen, and a future pick.. but it's a dice roll..I don't think that's even interesting today..but at the deadline we might have shown mark to be a better player that what we saw in chicago..

But my earlier point is some guys are going to become RFA behind better players..If we are patient we can cover that hole..

Rather keep Cedi if game 1 Cedi is the player on the court all season unless he wants out

Trade #1:
Cleveland receives: Keldon Johnson & Lonnie Walker
San Antonio receives: Collin Sexton & Dylan Windler

Why?
Cleveland needs wings.
San Antonio has two tall point guards that fit well next to Sexton.

Trade #2:
Cleveland receives: Cameron Reddish
Atlanta receives: Isaac Okoro

Why?
Cleveland gets their starting SF.
Atlanta gets a defensive minded prospect with some upside.

PG: Darius Garland / Ricky Rubio / Kevin Pangos
SG: Keldon Johnson / Lonnie Walker / Denzel Valentine
SF: Cameron Reddish / Cedi Osman / Lamar Stevens
PF: Evan Mobley / Lauri Markkanen / Kevin Love / Dean Wade
C: Jarrett Allen / Tacko Fall / Ed Davis
Coach: J.B. Bickerstaff

I actually like that except for the coach part. Is there a new up and coming young good coach prospect? Tired of old college coaches and retreads

I think J.B. should be given the benefit of the doubt. The roster construction looks questionable right now.

Would trade garland and okoro for moody and kuminga. Garland would be great with steph and draymond and okoro can learn from iggy. Warriors are in win mode now and they dont have playing time for rooks. Cavs need wings badly.

I think the need for wings is overblown this season if Cedi can play like he has been these past two games at a consistent level. I also think although his weakness' defensively make it difficult for LM at times, he can take advantage of mismatches if they can get him to be more aggressive when he has a mouse in the house instead of settling for step backs. Okoro is already playing more 2 guard but since he is coming off the bench gets more on ball touches as the season goes on imo where he can be effective and not so much a a liability. The same would be true at the 3 if he could add a reliable corner triple.
I doubt Okoro gets you either of those two from GSW since Moody is a very similar archetype but a better shooter as is and Kuminga is a bigger more capable defender. Garland is too valuable now that the season has started even with RR on the roster. They have to set a high bar for him to reach and hope he achieves it. If he does it is probably enough to lose any interest in moving him regardless of issues defensively with Sexton.
I also think if he keeps shooting which they need him to do, he needs to get positive results pretty quick, or his usefulness on a team not getting enough offense without it will again be limited to his passing and cause others to draw doubles that do get buckets.
I would have traded Garland this summer if teams would have given up a lottery pick for him in the 4-8 range. but I doubt the offers were there since Sexton is the one they foolishly shopped.

If the Cavs trade Garland, this rebuild could go on for another 5 years easy.

like it couldn't anyway smh
there is so many options out there at pg that do the same thing Garland does and until the man starts
breaking out as a scorer he is no better than a career backup table setter.

People keep saying this, but no one is naming them.
