We go out to Oakland for a 3 game set with the red hot Athletics, who at the beginning of the season were tabbed as bottom feeders as they dealt Hudson and Mulder this offseason but a decent season out of Zito and a strong one by Harden has propelled this team from bottomfeeder to contender. Since mid may they have had the best record in the league. The series starts off with a great pitching matchup with C.C. taking on Barry Zito. Hopefully Peralta can keep his hitting ways going and we can get Pronk back soon. If we can get 6-7 solid innings and get to our bullpen we can win 2 or all 3 of these. The last time we faced the Athletics earlier this season they were struggling mightily and we took a 3 game set with them. First game is tommorow night first pitch is at 10:05 on FSN, and on the radio on WTAM 1100. Go Tribe!

C's really needs to turn it around tonight. He needs to focus, and keep his emotions in check. I still have faith in the big fella'.

This is def. not the same A's team we swept. Zito has been on a tear of late. We do have a better record on the road, so i guess we do have that going for us. I just hope Hafner gets back in the lineup soon. No one else has stepped up to replace his production.

he is usually stellar in front of his family. a lot of his "crew" will be at the game, i would if i didnt have work, and the game is on the road so the chances of him pitching decent or more likely.

Peralta is a beast stepping in for Haf. He has like 13 dingers and around 50 rbi's in his first full season and has been drawing comparisons to Derek Jeter with more pop in the bat and less glove...

He's doing a fine job, but I wouldn't call him a beast. It doesn't help that Wedge keeps moving him around in the lineup either. With Hafner out, JP should be our clean up hitter. Last week, wedge had Blake in that role...a guy that can't hit with runners on if his life depended on it.
