Guys, for the second time in a few weeks, we had another non-baseball related blowup in a Tribe thread. They pretty much all start the same -- someone makes what they think is only a "close to the line" comment about politics, someone responds by moving it further out, and then all of a sudden, someone's blood gets up and it takes off. Usually accompanied with someone who can't resist getting in their own opinion before urging everyone else to stop talking politics.
So the conversation goes from discussing spin rates and sticky in gloves, to discussing Anthony Fauci, Townhall.com, and Hermann Goering.
I appreciate everyone who stayed out of that.
I'd ask again that people stay away from that stuff. I have absolutely zero sympathy for "passion" as an excuse, and after the fact apologies for derailing a thread don't undo what happened.
Please feel free to ping me if someone sees it getting out of hand, and if I don't respond quickly enough, any mod who is online will do. You guys should know by now that literally my only agenda here is for this forum to be a good, friendly place to discuss baseball.
