I get why people want to trade Tristan, especially because his value will be insane if he averages 15/10/2 on good efficiency.
But, in my mind, Tristan’s court awareness has immensely helped Darius, Collin, KPJ, and Cedi. First, Tristan is always watching to make sure the young guards have an outlet. This happened like five times last night.
Second, Tristan’s ability as a roll man is creating open players on every pick-and-roll. This is a large reason why Darius’s passing has looked so good.
Finally, Darius did a great job on Lillard last night, but that is because Garland was playing really tight defense. He and Sexton can do this - mitigating their size problem - when Tristan is on the same side of the court.
So I get why people want to trade TT. But - like discussions about trading Kevin Love - I wonder if trading Tristan does more harm than good to our long-term prospects.
well if he doesn't want to resign with the Cavs, they pretty much have to trade him.
