We're 2 games back in the loss column for the WC with 13 games to go, and we have people calling it a season? C'mon guys, we have a damn good baseball team that's battled through some serious shit all season long. Don't quit on them now.

We definitely still have a shot at getting into the Wild Card game, but I can’t fault any fan for feeling completely demoralized after yesterday. FWIW, Fangraphs gives us a 24.5% chance to make the WC.

No reason for Flaherty to be getting Triple-A at-bats, let alone playing for a team trying to scrape their way into the playoffs in mid-September.

Flaherty actually had a pretty good season at AAA plus our AAA team was lacking INFs at one point as well. Now personally I would rather get our young guys developed but I guess Francona is hoping he can bring some experience and help us that way. We have a chance to get into the Wild Card still so let’s hope they can do it!

He seems fine. Berto is an incredibly tough dude, as are most catchers.
