Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
People are still talking about this guy and what he's saying?

Lmao, what he's saying doesn't matter. He doesn't matter. He's one of the worst coaches in franchise history - I legitimately don't care he won a championship here. Paul Silas, Mike Brown, Randy Wittman, and Lenny Wilkens all would have won the title that year too. It was all Kyrie and LeBron.

He won with Blatt’s system & team, just like Jon Gruden got credit for winning with Tony Dungys team, and has been exposed as a terrible coach.

Blatt was the one that was having the team play within the system, Blatt was the one that installed good defensive habits for 1.5 years & had the team playing top 3 ranked defense to go along side an elite offense.

Since the day Lue took over the team got worse in every single way, under Lues lazy watch we dropped all the way down to being a bottom 3 NBA defense for two straight years, people also forget that if Love and Kyrie were healthy that first year, Blatt wins the championship easily, I don’t believe that series would’ve been close, 4-0 or 4-1 imo.

That’s why Pat Riley is the man, he told LeBron to shut up and play basketball even though he tried to get Spoelstra fired multiple times, and now reportedly Luke Walton is on the hot sit too, it’s really a shame that LeBron ruined Blatts NBA career before it started, I really hope we or maybe some other team hires him.

Yeah...the whole idea of passing up 3's for long 2's appears to have been one of Lue's inventions, so hopefully Sexton will unlearn that habit now that he's gone.

Do you think he was trying to get fired? I know the team sucks, but man it was brutal.

I honestly think he was just that bad, was never meant to be a head coach in this league, was a good assistant because of his ability to relate and bond with players. But that was definitely his ceiling as we all painfully found out.

I have no idea...

I had a professor once who was very old and wise. He said, "If you are good at something, they will promote you until they find a job you aren't very good at."

IMO Lue was a coward who didn't want to withstand a rebuilding period because he knew he was a fraud. I agree with you but still think Lue hastened the exit dramatically by directly refusing the request of his superiors from a roster management standpoint and lets not forget the "Ay yo Jimbo" voicemail.

We all saw that it didn't work for the Cavs, but when you got a bunch of guys that can't get to the hoop on their own, and you don't have a PG who can get the ball to the right guy on a called play, it might make sense why Lue tried it. Whatever. He's gone now. Time to let it go--

Lue got the most from veterans who completely knew their role and Kyrie who has a strong identity.

Larry can actually manage a game. It's becoming really clear. He knows his personnel and asks them to do things they are capable of.

The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "level of incompetence"

Very good. I think the Cavs organization's preference to promote from within has also lead to Peter's corollary which says:

"In time, every post tends to be occupied by an employee who is incompetent to carry out its duties."

lol
