Thought to be becoming a possible day one candidate after 2019, he was still projected to be drafted. He's similar to LeCounte in that an injury may have masked his effectiveness in 2020 and on pro day. Marv's was a knee, though.

I mean, the answer probably is that he sucked major ass this past season. But their coaching staff was awful and there were plenty of people who got drafted without playing one snap this year.

Yeah, considering Wilson has been on the radar as a 5 star HS recruit and via his better earlier seasons at FSU, there has to be a reason he was passed over 259 times.
But..... the talent is there and I think barring any issues with working hard and taking to coaching the Browns plan is for him to win the 5th DT spot behind Billings, Jackson, Elliot, and Togiai. The priority in which they went after him and the money offered is an indicator of that.
