Vince Carter?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
no thanks. there are two guys in this league i hate simply based on their on court interactions with James. Pierce and Carter.....

neither of them should ever be allowed to flourish as his teammate

after thinking further about trading for Carter, I hope it doesn't happen for one reason only: if there's one team that the Cavs shouldn't help get under the cap, it's the Jay-Z and the Nets. Don't bail them out of any bad deals.

Milwaukee, Atlanta, Memphis? Fine. Clippers, Chicago, Charlotte? Fine. But not New Jersey/Brooklyn. That'd be awful.

I hate Carter with a passion but his stats the last 10 games have been eye popping

29 pts
8 rebounds
5 assists
2 steals
50% FG
49% 3-PT
85% FT

Post Kidd trade, he has been incredible and is proving to still have a lot left in the tank. Again, I hate the man but you have to at least give the possibility a look.

I would definitely take a look at Vince Carter, mostly because he is one of the few players that could be available, and likely will, for the Cavs... He's one of the few players that would available that would fill that role of a legit threat next to LeBron on the wing... He's still putting up great numbers and solid shooting %'s despite his previous injuries and age... His defense is suspect but he is still a passable defender...

I don't question is ability to score or his ability to be a good player, the only thing I question is how good can he be from this point on... He turned 31 in January and considering the guy has had numerous injuries to his ankles, knees and back, I don't have too good of a feeling about that even though he's missed around 13 games the last 4 seasons...

He's a guy I'd definitely take a look at and see what the Nets would be willing to take back, but don't forget he'll still have 3 years and around 48 million left on his contract with a year 4 option worth 18 million... This is part of the reason why he'll probably be so available...

I'd much rather have Richard Jefferson then Carter, but Jefferson doesn't seem like he's a player the Nets would trade away, let along to the Cavaliers...

Seriously, if hes available and the Cavs can swing a deal, lets do it.. Especially if we cannot land Micheal Redd, Jason Richardson(Which isn't available, but some believe he is for some odd reason), or anyone else that would fit us well. Carter is still a good player, would Def. be a nice fit next to James if he can keep putting up those great numbers. Carter is also a solid jump shooter, so it would be a solid deal.

Knowing our luck, his shot would be dead if we got em though.
