VSL: Detroit v. Cleveland - 4PM 7/17 - *Link to Live Video*

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seriously, do these guys think they are helping their chances by being selfish and taking dumb shots?

i thought the same thing. but you see it all over summer league, so i guess, evidently the answer is "yes."

:chuckles: @ Antonio Harvey saying "Tyreke Evans is averaging 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists... yes I checked those numbers," then following up with "Check that, Evans averaging 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists."

Good job, Antonio!

Jawad really does have a smooth jumper. I like him more than TK.

But you just can't tell in SL, you really can't. These guys are playing go-to-guy roles right now. That is completely different than what they would be doing for us. So maybe TK would be a better fit that Jawad for us.

Jonas Jerebko can speak very clearly. I was expecting him to have a hard accent.

Recap:

- TK has no handles. He doesn't deserve a spot on our roster.
- Danny Green has a great release and he'll get some minutes if he can hold his own defensively
- Eyenga has tons of upside and he's not as raw as we thought. The reverse lay-up he had today shows his offensive awareness and potential. He's also freakishly athletic as we all know. His stroke isn't bad and he can hit the open J.
- Harrison should run away from NBA and continue getting wasted.
- I don't wanna see Jamont's face again.
- Lyons has a nice mid-range jumper but his decision making is below average.
- Jawad is a potential candidate for that 15th spot. Has a nice stroke on his shot.

i pretty much agree with that except i think danny is defensively ready to contribute & eyenga was a revelation to me. compare what we saw here in the VSL to the film we saw on draft night of him playing in spain. if he continues to improve that quickly, this kid will be on the roster next year...

i agree about jawad. he makes the team as the 15th guy. if i'm djack, however, i would be worried about my spot...

The one thing I'll say for Jackson is he crashed the offensive boards. Especially when Jamont was on his one man show, he was the only one not standing there with his hands on hips. Everyone else seemed hurt that the PG was chucking and shucking. Suck it up.

Darnell wasn't even interested in what's going on during the game. Fumbled inbound passes, rebounds, weak shows, lackadaistical on offense...

As you said, he might not get a spot if we sign someone like Kurz.

true but he's a really bad rebounder for his size and bulk. he has bad hands...

AWFUL hands. It's really tragic. And that Ben Wallace tap back...urgh.

I think Green has a good nose for the ball, he's just a step slow. He was pretty good at that at UNC, so I've got hope he'll become an excellent weakside rebounder. Combo that with his stroke and defensive footwork, and he'll make the backend of the rotation.

bucher just tweeted this:

Summer League's best: JHarden, SCurry, Tyreke Evans. Closer than I expected: Thabeet, DeRozan. Sleepers: Beaubois, Eyenga, Gilder, Ibekwe.

SCurry best of VSL with his 34.5% FG?

Come on Rick, you're better than that...Or maybe you're not?

:chuckles:

Did he come up with that list in the only the time it took to type it?

He thought Thabeet would do worse than he has for most of the summer league? He must have thought Thabeet was a nice second round-to-undrafted type prospect.

Curry has done ok, but has been outplayed by two of his teammates.

And if he's going to name the best, you would think he would mention Griffin, who just stays in the air dunking and rebounding.

Oh well, I do like that he mentioned Christian.
