!W! 20T ::: Cavs 113 vs. Bobcats 106

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
our feb is covered with back to backs..

Thank God for Z. Without him....uhhh...

How do you hide a 7'3" Lithuanian? Ask Mike Brown. It's doghouse days in Cleveland. Somebody's not working hard enough? Got me. Any explanations why you play Mr sprained achilles most of the 4th and 2 OT's?

Moo
:dunno:

But Z's PT is the 4th is non existent..

We dominate the quarter..:chuckles:

Re: Cavs vs. Bobcats (FRI : 7:30 PM-ET : FSNHD)

I know, but like I said, before the media wasn't on his back about the shots at the end of the game. They want him to take a shot with 3 guys on him, they couldn't careless. Hes passed up his fair share of final shots, but he also takes dumb ones when he should be passing. I'd take a open shot rather than a the one James is trying to do.

And Larry Hughes passed it to DJ for the Washington win, I don't think James touched the ball.. Or he passed it in, or Larry passed it in, James passed to Hughes, Hughes to DJ.. Some thing like that, Haha.

That's the correct answer.

Brown's MO when James plays PF is to go with Varejao at C. My only guess is that he didnt want to put a cold player on the court after sitting for so long. It is not as if Varejao had been slowing down Mohammed who would have had an even better game if he was actually coordinated.

I dont understand why he came back with Gooden. Who promptly was stripped 4 times and traveled after having his shot blocked 3 times in the first half. To Gooden's credit he played some solid defense on Wallace down the stretch after being torched in the 3rd until he opened up the swinging gate in OT.

Good to sneak away from it. Its a shame we cannot get consistent effort at both ends. Its either were scoring, whilst leaking points, or an ugly fest at both hoops.

Not sure why Drew was playing ahead Z down the end, but other then that coach made the right calls.

I thought Pavlovic played a pretty good game considering it was a horrible matchup. He finally rotated the ball to the open man tonight instead of forcing up a horrible shot. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him.

Damon Jones may be taking Devin Brown's minutes. Jones looked very good on both ends of the floor. If he plays his ass off like that every night he may play his way off this roster and onto another.

Drew Gooden reminds me of ten second Tom from 50 first dates. He'll miss a rotation and the next time down the floor make the same mistake. He has the same memory recall as a goldfish.... 24 seconds.

Larry Hughes Showed up big in the first half then went asleep until the final minute of the game but I'll take it. If he gives us that level of production consistently this will be a much better team.

Donyell Marshall looked dapper.

Varejao should be starting sooner rather then later. The Cavs can't keep giving up huge 1st and 3rd quarters and hope to come back and win. Varejao is your best defensive big and just brings more to the team then either Gooden or Ilgauskas. Would Z look better coming off the bench, could he handle the demotion better then Gooden?

Why continue to reward bad play and bad defense? Basketball is supposed to be a meritocracy. If anyone needs to be sent a message it is Gooden.

I'm all for having the best players on the court M but not at the cost of Gooden's fragile psyche. We still need 3 functioning bigs in the rotation and I think the logical choice of a bench player is Z. I think he could handle it and I have to admit I like the Idea of Z and Boobie coming in a the 6 minute mark. I think those two would really compliment each other.

Coach did ok this game but lets not give him too much credit...

His 3rd quarter coaching was aful...he sat wayyyyy too long as Charolette made thier big run...we didnt really change anything or een call a timeout

it wasnt good coaching...

AV is indeed our 2nd best player and we need to not pretend like it isnt true...Guy is playing hard and producing...

Drew is god awful...he cost us the game down the stretchin Atlanta and tried to lose it again tonight...awful...i hope we trade him

I dont think that makes any sense at all. Not so much Z from the bench, moreso Drew remaining. Over the years Drew has had his nights, but they are extremely rare now. He needs some type of change.

I dont buy the fragile psyche of Drew either. The guy is too simple to feel pressure, take on critisism, etc. The first play of the game is played no different to the last play. He's just in space. The only trouble with him not starting is trying to keep him off the court at the tipoff. He's just on auto pilot, so that may be a challenge.

I guess that luxury is only afforded to Phil Jackson.

Z is passive/aggressive. Z would not take to coming in off the bench. He was not working hard last night, and Mike Brown sat him. His productivity decline coincides with AV's minutes. Z started out shooting better, but he cannot play the "flash" defense that MB likes.

I know he can work harder. We saw it earlier this year. But Z is a tough guy to motivate, and is now positioned mainly on his butt on the bench. When Z decides to work harder, he will see more minutes. No different than Damon, and the other Cavs who go to sleep for a week at a time.

Moo

I completely disagree. Z was playing hard. He was beating Gooden back down the floor defensively and his help rotations was solid. Late in that game Varejao was beaten on several pinch screen rolls and was only saved by Mohammed traveling or James rotating over and making him change his shot and miss layups.

His production declined happened when James went down at first then when Mike Brown decided to start the "Backcourt that Couldnt Shoot Straight" and started to never see the ball.

There is no way you can say after watching that game last night and say that Gooden was working or playing better than Z. When they actually I dont know....got him some looks he had 14-7-2 in 23 minutes.

Mike Brown has this thing about a small lineup now. Varejao was beaten several times backdoor and was punked on the offensive glass by Justin Williams of all people in the Sacramento game and that didnt affect his subsequent playing time in games.

Sorry I'm late posting this but it is partially relevant since this girl was the halftime show on Friday night
