Looks like we had a nice solid game pretty much all around. Brown was quoted in the PD this morning about not being happy with the transition defense off turnovers.

I mentioned yesterday that I was waiting for Jones to put up some numbers and it looks like he did just that. If we get 12-15 a night from him, we are going to be almost unstoppable.

Hughes, while he needs time to gel with LeBron, should just sit out a while and make sure that finger fully heals. We don't need this to keep popping up all season.

Props to Big Z on a monster game - Gooden as well.

TRENTON, N.J., Oct. 20 (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson and LeBron James put on quite a show but were upstaged by Luke Jackson.

Jackson's fourth-quarter 50-footer beat the shot clock and gave the Cleveland Cavaliers the lead for good en route to a 106-102 preseason victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Sovereign Bank Arena.

Iverson, a four-time scoring champion, returned from a one-game absence due to a sore knee and scored an NBA preseason-high 36 points. James, playing his second game in as many nights after missing two with pleurisy, scored 30 points.

But the game's biggest basket came from Jackson, who is technically a rookie after missing all of last season with an injury.

The game was tied, 90-90, when the 76ers deflected the ball into the backcourt. With the shot clock running down, Jackson retrieved it and heaved it for his only basket of the game with 7:17 remaining.

A basket by Iverson cut the deficit to 103-102 with 19 seconds left before former Sixer Eric Snow split a pair of free throws. Iverson missed a potential tying shot and James sank two foul shots with 9.2 seconds to go.

Throughout the game, Iverson and Snow -- backcourt mates for six-plus seasons -- traded trash talk and playful pushes with each other.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 21 points and Damon Jones added 14 for the Cavaliers, who played without regulars Donyell Marshall (elbow) and Ira Newble (foot).

Andre Iguodala and John Salmons scored 15 points each for the Sixers, who again were without forward Chris Webber and center Samuel Dalembert. Both have quadriceps injuries.
