Cavaliers Note's

*The Cavaliers are on a three game winning streak two of them coming at home and one coming on the road against the lowly Toronto Raptors. The Magic are on a two game win streak themselves beating Houston and Charlotte after stumbling out of the gates 0-3.

*How can the Cavaliers fair against a mediocre Eastern
Conference team on the road? Will it be a Raptor repeat? Or will they keep it close.

*Even though they played two Western Conference playoff teams on the road they lost by double digits both times.

*Look for LeBron James to have a big game after being saddled with foul trouble last night and playing just 25-30 minutes.

*Steve Francis always has a big night against us will Larry Hughes be given the task of trying to shut him down or will Eric Snow get him and be torn apart like he was in San Antonio?

*Can Drew Gooden contain Dwight Howard? Howard likes to run and can get up the floor in a hurry his quickness might get Drew in trouble defensively. The Magic are basically the same team as last year, a team we lost and won a few of the games we played with them but it was always close.

CDT Prediction:

Cavaliers offense will be too much for defensive big men Tony Battie and Kelvin Cato to handle.

LeBron will be 25+ points Larry around 20 and Z will have around 15 as well.

Expect the turnovers to be cut down as they aren't very defensive minded outside of Cato and Battie. Thus far when the Cavaliers have a weakness during a game it isn't a weakness come next with Coach Brown on the job.

Cavaliers win two straight on the road crusing 106-91 victory, and head back to the friendly confines of Quicken Loans Arena

Re: Cavaliers (4-2) @ Orlando (2-3)

Turkolu can shoot it, so he'll be a bit of a test to the rotation, but LeBron should absolutely blow him up on the other end. Francis can get it done on the offensive end, he hasn't quite been the same ever since his buddy Cuttino Mobley left. Besides that, I don't see much threat here. Battie is a solid player, but he's not going to light it up. Howard will be very good, but I think Drew and Marshall can shut him down. The Magic don't have anything like a Damon Jones/Donyell Marshall bench combo. Basically, this is a game that the Cavs should win fairly easily. It is a road game, so we'll see if the good D can continue outside the Q.

Sunday should be a awesome sports day for Cleveland Fans- Cavs mopping up the mouseketeers just as the Browns-Steelers game gets rolling. These are the Sundays that get men divorced. I see the Cavs winning going away- the only game we lost to them last year was when we had E-Snow chucking 20 footers when no one else could make a shot- shouldn't be a problem this year. Buckle up, enjoy the Cavs, then pray for a miracle with the Browns.

I believe Snow is a better one on one defender than Larry Hughes. Larry gambles and plays the passing lanes alot. That would leave alot of room for Steve Francis to operate. Also, Tony Parker is much quicker than Steve, I believe Eric can handle this one.

Re: Cavaliers (4-2) @ Orlando (2-3)

hedo will be a nonfactor in this game. their is no way this cat will cover lebron, nor will he be able to penetrate on lebron.

this team is very weak. if you give francis a tough time it should be a walk in the park. i see them only scoring around 85 points.

Re: Cavaliers (4-2) @ Orlando (2-3)

Snow should be the man to cover Francis over Hughes, for reasons Infante stated. Steve's offensive game has struggled in a team that lacks many options compounded by further injuries to Grant Hill. Turkoglu is a concern for LeBron. He is long and can stick it from the perimeter. James must get out there and get a hand up. Drew has to play tough on the boards with Howard strong on getting 2nd chances for his team.

Offensively Hughes and James should have their way, which our other scorers should feed off. Clevelands 2nd unit is far superior to the Magic so this should prove to be the difference, as Orlando's starting five may do enough to stick with ours. Orlando will be hoping their frontcourt of Howard, Battie and Cato combine defensively to shut down the penetrator and post offense. They do this, it's anyones game.

Cavs should pull away though to a 10-15 point win.

Re: Cavaliers (4-2) @ Orlando (2-3)

Hedo has no chance to guard LeBron, and I don't see Brian Hill giving him that assignment the whole game. The quicker, more athletic DeShawn Stevenson should have that task.

Hedo will be the X-Factor on the offensive end though. We shall see how much LeBron has learned about team defense. LeBron needs to stick to his man on defense and not let up open looks for him... this guy can shoot. We are lucky that Grant Hill is injured or he'd help light LeBron up like a christmas tree.

Francis can be contained. Snow did a fine job last year and I can see the same thing happening. But he can blow up. He might be waiting to. Make him work for it, and we'll cruise to victory. Make him shoot less than 40% and it should be easy.

Howard is tough. Strong. We have gotten abused in the paint. I wonder if Brown will put Z on him? He's more of a post player than a shooter (like Bosh), so Z's extra 4 inches will cause some trouble. And if Howard marks up Z on the other end, then look for him to have a really tough game.

Overall we should take this one. It might not be a blowout, but I can see a 8-12 point win.

Re: Cavaliers (4-2) @ Orlando (2-3)

Turkoglu is Orlando's weak point in defense. He will be marking either Hughes or LeBron, so we should be working Turk over. Stevenson has had a solid start to the season. We should force him and Francis to shoot. Both are better off the dribble, but erratic with their perimeter game. Garrity is a threat from the bench, but Marshall will likely cancel him out.
