Well,in all fairness ....Rivers is being fair. He tanked last night gainst the Cavs as well. We likely would have lost if he didn't pull all his starters last night. He said he was gonna play it fair and do the same with them as he did with us ....that's why they didn't have a line on this game in Vegas. No sweat ...you blow game after game in the 2nd half of the season ....giving little effort in many of them and this is what SHOULD happen. Too many low character guys on this team this year. Z's a very old 29, and would hate to see how he will be eroding in future seasons. He's chronically too tired to play hard already .....we need to restructure the team a bit, but I see a core eight we can go to battle with next year ... Lebron, Gooden, Varejao, Sasha, Luke, Newble, Traylor, Snow. Of the four to complete the roster we need a PG, SG, C, and another shooter off the bench. 20 some million should give us alot better at those positions then JMAC, Jiri, Luscious, Diop, Wagner, Williams, and Z. Z willbe the most expensive to replace ...but say you find a
defensive minded tough center in the Skinner, Magloire mold to share time with Traylor, you can get a bench shooter cheap, then have about 7 mil a piece to grab a sg and pg .....Simmons, Jaric ? ....it can work itself out positively ...

i will restate what i said earlier the celtics should be fined/removed from teh playoffs for what they did. I mean i know they did it to some extent againist cleveland but to remove all of your normal starters (those that actually played) with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and not play them again.....

Still, they did improve this year, as did the entire east. 36-46 got you in the playoffs in the east last year (Boston), while this year 42-40 wasn't enough.
I like the way they went out, though, in these last three games. They hung with Detroit right to the end, then won these last two convincingly. I hope these last few games improved their chemistry a little, as they were looking very frustrated out there before. Hopefully they feel better about playing on the road, too, since they did play better in their last batch of road games.
We have a big offseason coming up and we are still a franchise clearly on the rise, so we shouldn't get too down. It would have been nicer to get in and get a little experience, but against Miami we would've faced an early exit regardless.
