Re: Orlando at Cleveland

The lead is growing. Soon it will be chalupa time at The Q.

Re: Orlando at Cleveland

I think Karma is watching this game.. I believe he said he gets espn games ? So, maybe tonight he will see what we see in Luke ?

He has looked solid tonight... Z was excellent tonight... D-Jones looked great as well.

Re: Orlando at Cleveland

Come on Cavs, 2 more points before it's chalupa time.

Re: Orlando at Cleveland

Sasha tried to dunk the ball in traffic. That would have been nice had it gone down.

Re: Orlando at Cleveland

The only thing more important then the 6th straight win...and being undefeated at home...

Is that all fans in attendance receive a free chalupa, thats why they play this game..LIFE IS GOOD

Good game. Great game, actually. Big start by the big man, which is always welcomed. The Magic could not retaliate, and that is exactly what we want.

Some observations:

Damon hitting his shots... always nice to see.
Luke, 2/4 from 3. Nice... And that oop to LeBron? Oh, what a show, what a show.

Sasha: He played 5 minutes in garbage time. Not much, but I can make an assessment from there. He's very aggressive, I like that. He creates his own shot, which Luke does not. I don't believe that Luke would not create his shot, I just think he doesn't because he believes the ball is better served elsewhere. It's pass-first VS shoot-first. Anywho, Sasha had a great shot from 18 out, and a nasty move towards the paint. Would have liked a finish as we was right there, but he's still learning, it's ok. I liked the aggression towards the basket. He also had a nice hand in the paint preventing an easy basket, sending the ball out of bounds.

The question is, though, can he continue this aggression in real minutes? Against the last men on the rotation, when it doesn't matter, he can do it. But when the score is close, will he hesitate? Luke hesitates here and there, but we see he makes good decisions at least half the time the ball hits his hand. And this is after playing under 20 games as an NBA pro. Sasha has played in over a 100 and is still hesitant.

But we'll see. Mike Brown, give Sasha more meaningful minutes!

i didn't like the early part of the game much, our offense on most possessions early on didn't seem to be running any plays, just some 1 on 1 basketball then a bad shot... fortunately we were really cooking on the offensive glass, thanks to z and drew

lebron especially seemed to really be pressing... i love him and everything, but it just seems like he does take a certain pride in his points (what player doesn't?) and leading the team every game, so as the game wore on and he wasn't getting his, he started forcing things... and it just wasn't working for him tonight. Most other nights, when he has that kind of mindset he would've eventually broken through and gotten his 25+, but tonight he was little off

the good part is, the other players really showed they can carry a game when lebron isn't, and as more games go by, lebron will realize he can depend on them and won't feel obliged to press so much (i know he says in all the interviews that he lets the game come to him because he knows he has teammates this season that can carry the load, but for his entire basketball life he has had to practically win every game by himself, so it's no easy habit to break)

i thought it was interesting how brown kept playing our starters far after the game seemed pretty much over... maybe he wanted to make a point after orlando came back on us to send the game into OT a week ago

all in all, it's very exciting to see our team noticeably improve game by game, our hustle on all ends of the floor was great, defensively the guys seem to be really getting into it and are getting better as a team every game, we held them to the 80's while scoring in the 100's... can't complain about that at all

z dominated the first half, damon and luke lit up the 3-point line in the 2nd half, and gooden continues to play like an elite pf, oh and snow is hitting his open jumpers, which is exactly what we need... lebron struggled a bit, larry and donyell were a bit quiet

yet another blowout win at home, great job team

Some things that stuck out to me...

1. Taco Bell is soon going to close all of its chain franchises in the Cleveland are. The Cavs are going to put Taco Bell out of business.

2. It really sais something when LeBron has 16 for the game, and we beat team by 18 points...which leads me to my next point.

3. It was really CLASSLESS in my eye for that garbage Orlando player to go for that last layup of the game. The game was over. They were down by 20 points, but the garbage player made that teardrop shot to make it 18. He should have shown some class and just dribbled the ball at the top till the game ended. I dunno, but that seriously pissed me off.

haha that was jameer nelson wasn't it?

i wonder if mike brown is going to ask them to change the promotion to free chalupas if they hold the opposition to under 80 pts

Another nice effort tonight. Cavs won despite some poor FT shooting and some bad play from LeBron. I agree with insshc's assessment of LeBron tonight. He forced some bad offense and took some terrible shots. He has a talented team around him now with players who can score. Most times there's no need to force bad shots. LeBron is and has been great but this is happening too much this year. Mike Brown has to get this under control a little better. When the Cavs run offense they can get a good shot almost every time. No need to go 1 on 5.

Z was huge tonight. He along with Gooden were the reasons the Cavs stayed in the game early and built a lead. Too bad they seemed to stop looking to him in the 2nd half. Drew and Z dominated inside.

It's nice to finally have perimeter threats and 3 point shooters. It's been a long time and they make a huge difference.
Marshall didn't score tonight but came up strong elsewhere especially rebounding.

Luke was pretty solid. I thought he played very well defensively and rotated well all night. Nice to see a couple of 3's go down but when he goes to the hoop he needs to go stronger. Of course there was some contact on most of his drives but he's not getting the calls yet.

Cavs continue to dominate at home. All blowouts so far. It would be nice to go get a win in Philly tomorrow.

Magic fan's take after the game

They quit posting on both boards I used....guess they had enough.

I'm hearing alot of Lebron forcing his shots and looking to get his pts. ...and I do see some of that ...he's always done that ....but it's less understanded now that he does have the other options. But, you still have to look at this guys shooting percentage ...he's obviously doing something very very right from the small forward spot, because I would guess he has one of, if not the highest shooting percentages from that position in the NBA. Let's put it this way ...Kobe Bryant usually gets off a dozen more bad shots a game than Lebron ...
