Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

no i dont smoke, if you have watched the cavs over the years you would understand what i am talking about. we never beat this team when its close.

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

I have and previously was because we sucked...very badly and they were final contenders for a good stretch. We are a new team now, they were missing their 2nd best player and we took advantage of it, LeBron got a lot of looks for guys he had wouldn't have seen had Artest been on him.

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

you dont get the point, we have allways lost to the pacers when it has been close. their have been other games when we sucked, where the game was close and we won.

the pacers just have our numbers

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

We are slowly but surely learning how to closeout games. Lets go for 6 against the Pissed ons!

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Great win. You did us both a favor. Congrats!

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Wow.

Did we just beat two central division teams on a back to back both nationally televised games??

ITS THE APOCALYPSE.

No but seriously great game.

Also mr pisser is da bomb :)

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Yeah we suck when the whole world is watching, and a road game against a decent team and a home game against a great team. I still want to redo that Hawks game...jesus..

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Damn, didn't know game was on ESPN2. Oh well, good win tonight. Gooden was a beast. Lebron's first half dunk was sick!

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

CDT, the whole world was watching today. The game was broadcast here in Australia on ESPN, but me being at work until 2pm, I only managed to see the final 1:17 of the game, when the Cavs took control.

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Losing that big lead was disappointing but fighting back to win the game was huge. This was the type of game that in the past, when our team became rattled and gave up huge leads, would proceed to sink further and further and basically concede defeat. But not tonight. That spirit was great to see.

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Nice to get the W tonight despite the mixed form. Even when we had the 20 odd point lead we still were not playing overly flash. Indiana stunk moreso then us play well. We hustled well on the boards with Z and Drew dominating early. LeBron did struggle but was smart in the first half. Hughes was a little quiet but made some nice plays.

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

If wed have lost this one i would have thrown stuff.......we have big leads on both Miami and Indiana and almost blow them both. Whew! I dont know why we cant seem to play with big leads. Its like the Cavs are up big and they relax a bit and the opposition comes back and the Cavs start to play again. Good Grief!!! Forget the score! Bury the mofos damnit!!! I guess we're a young team and this will happen, but it makes me a little nervous!

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

It just boggles my mind that LeBron can play like this and we win, but when he drops a fat number on a team we lose.. :chuckles:

Nice to see Larry come up big...Z had another solid game, and Drew played well...Marshall was still in his groove..

Great win for this team.. Back2back wins are hard to come by for alot of teams, not to mention back2back divison games...Hopefully we can extend this to 3 wins within the division on Monday night..

LeBron is starting to kill teams in the post with his passing.. The double teams that are being placed upon him are backfiring on teams because of the solid perimeter shooting from D-Jones and D-Yell...

The defense is looking better as well... Getting "key" stops in the later parts of the game is showing signs of maturity... However, way to many easy buckets in the paint...

It's coming along nicely though...

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

We gave up leads to two very quality clubs. This is the NBA and unless you shut a team down, they WILL make a run. I'm encouraged by this team's ability to hold on for wins against Indiana and Miami. Like West Remy said, this is a game we would have lost in the past. This was a playoff-type game against a solid, deep team. I'm starting to feel that the Cavs always believe they can win a game. And that is a nice thing.

As for Lebron. His assists spread the floor and confuse the opposition. We win when he doesn't go for 30+ (or we have in the past) because teams can't just collapse on him. His stats don't show it, but he wore out Stephen Jackson from the get, and relegated one of their key guys to an off night. SJ had nothing in the way of assists and rebounds compared to BronBron. When he spreads the floor, 3's are open looks and the weak-side post is wide open. I hope to see more of it.

What happens when this team finally starts clicking on all cylinders? James 25/7/7, Z 18/7, LHuge 16/5/5, Gooden 12/10, DMarshall 15/6, DJones 12/5assts, and a bench that brings 20 & 10 every night? That's a terrifying thought (for the opposition).

Re: Pacers @ Cavaliers

Its a win against the Pacers, so I'll take that any way it comes. It was also on ESPN 2, which I guess is slightly less cursed than regular ESPN, which we seem to consistently lose on. I think its Bill Walton announcing those games which leads to Cavs losses there.

This is a good team, but at the same time, a game we should have and did win. Artest has yet again managed to single-handedly bring down a very good team early in the season. Indy will recover though, especially when they get someone sane to take his place. Also, with a 22 point lead early, I really wasn't expecting Indy to stay that far down for the entire game. It would have been nice, but you know the Pacers are good for being competitive in every game.

Lebron wasn't hitting the stuff he normally hits, the Pacers seem to play some good D on him and have the set of big physical guards to handle him. He just wasn't finishing drives like he normally does. He did rack up a bunch of assists and rebounds which is what good players do when they arent hitting shots, also, he was clutch down the stretch. My one gripe is at the free throw line, but i guess an off night is an off night. Id like to see him sit maybe 5 minutes more a game though, these 40+ minute nights are going to add up.

Z and Gooden had good games too. Larry was quiet but efficient, Ira's D is looking pretty good, DJ's D is getting to where hes not a total liability out there. Its nice to see Marshall have a good game from outside. But all in all, no one really stuck out and it was a team effort here.
