Keys to this game:

-Golden State likes to play run-and-gun small ball with a small lineup. The Cavs have already seen run-and-gun at it's finest on Sunday against Phoenix and have to continue to defend it against a Warriors team trying to copy Phoenix's style. Getting back in transition and contesting possible fast breaks will go a long way in defending this team.

-Golden State is not a good rebounding team, and with Harrington, who is a poor rebounder for his size and position, they got worse in that regard. The Cavs ambushed the Warriors, 57-45, on the boards in the last meeting. Continuing to hit the glass in the second half was a huge part of their comeback to win that game. With the home energy behind them and the decided edge in rebounding talent already on their side, there is no reason that the abuse on rebounding shouldn't continue.

-Don't try to out-shoot the Warriors. Make them play a physical, grind-it-out style, and they'll fold. The team doesn't have any low-post threats that can beat you inside consistently, and the Cavs have to realize it. Then again, the Cavs don't have any consistent low-post defender, so it might not matter, anyways.

Prediction: Cavs bounce back from the loss to PHX and win, 102-94.

Settle down, don't try to over-due it, get the ball inside, and take what they give us. We need this one to get back into the swing of things badly.

We also need to stop a 3-game home losing streak.

LeBron isn't playing in this game.

I assume Pavlovic gets the nod in his place.

A common sense person would reason this makes Sasha the second Small Forward on the roster but then when LBJ plays he can't get off the bench!

Key to game...run an opportunistic run offense...

Start the Boobster!!!

We may have a starting lineup of Gibson/Hughes/Shasha/Gooden/Z

Wonder how they will work.

Wow did I call that or what... :king:

This will be an interesting lineup for us. Easily our best shooting team with had from the tipoff in quite some time. Larry needs to be a slasher now he has Gibson, Sasha and Ilgauskas as the shooters outside him. Drew and Z should be getting plenty of ball down low.

Good test for Gibson as Ellis will go at him strong.

Updated Cavaliers probable starters:

SF: Sasha Pavlovic
PF: Drew Gooden
C: Zydrunas Ilgauskas
SG: Larry Hughes
PG: Daniel Gibson

No LeBrizzle ? Ew..... I won't be going to this one...

why isnt Baron Davis playing.

the warriors have a damn good roster. if they somehow got a good big man on there team they would compete with the big dogs in the west.

harrington, jackson, davis, richardson are all real good.

pietrus and ellis are pretty good as well, as well as saruns.

This could be a turning point for us if Gibson can lead us to a victory tonight. I know Brown is stubborn to stick with defense, but Gibby could make a strong case for that starting spot.

I just hope Gibson does good and doesn't let the pressure get to him. But this is an EXCELLENT opportunity for him to show the team and fans that despite his age/experience, he can lead the team if need be.

Gibson is doing pretty well so far, Hughes is still stinking it up.

I have been out...missed the first part of the game but we are tied up

how did Boobie do???
