I’m sure at least one UDFA will stick. That pretty much always happens with just about every team, but I have no idea on who.

Why is it that we think Jamar Taylor is going to be cut?

Why is it that we think Jamar Taylor is going to be cut?

Few reasons...

1. Wasn’t brought in by this regime.

2. He’s now arguably the 4th or 5th best cornerback on the roster. Definitely behind Ward, Carrie and Gaines. Stick him in the next tier with Mitchell and Boddy-Calhoun.

3. He’s set to make 5.275M this season compared to 706K for Wilson and 630K for Boddy-Calhoun.

Not gonna lie but I feel we are gonna keep 5 safeties and not just 4. I am not sure if Williams is going to implement more of the 4-2-5 but it’s quite possible he does.

Though with the fact we have a whole bunch of chances to draft a guy like Reid tells me they have faith in Randell to play S and/or they will be signing another veteran S as well.

Also will be two to three guys put on IR during camp. Plus we have priority on final roster cuts so add another three to four guys. Probably another 4 to 6 guys not on the list that will make final 53.

I could damn well be in the minority but I personally REALLY like where we are offensively. Barring injury/suspension I see no reason why Taylor can’t lead this unit to 21-24 PPG with a guy like Haley helping him out.

I agree with the main listings. Desmond Harrison is one UDFA that I think would be able to replace Rod Johnson pretty easily. I'd be stunned if Tank Carder made the team yet again.

WRs will be interesting since I don't know how to evaluate ours with Kessler/Kizer throwing shit at them.

Higgins showed some flashes at the end of last year and I know Ricardo Louis has been working with Tyrod quite a bit.

Either way with Janis, Ratley, Callaway etc being added to the mix, nice to finally have some depth instead of a pile of crap at that position.

Hard to not see some points being scored this year though with Landry, Gordon, Tyrod, Duke, Hyde, Chubb, Njoku.

Defensive tackle seems like the biggest weak spot at the moment.

We all have high hopes for Ogunjobi, but he only played 28% of the snaps last year. There’s no telling how he’s going to respond to triple the playing time.

Coley and Meder are just guys. Brantley showed promise, but he played even less than Ogunjobi.

Biggest needs in order (I’m going to assume Corbet fills the need at LT):

DT
FS
SS
O-Line depth
D-Line depth

I can’t for the life of me think we have a long term solution at Safety until one of the them prove me otherwise.

Quite honestly our offense looks fucking good on paper.

Those three young DTs are all 2nd year ascending players. I think Coley showed a little more promise to me more then just a JAG but we’ll see.

And while it’s pointless to speculate this far out, DT should have some elite prospects in next years draft, led by Ed Oliver, Rashaan Gary, Christian Wilkins, and Dre’Mont Jones

I'm actually surprised that the front office didn't bring in more depth at OLB. Collins and Kirksey are top level talent but Burgess was a massive drop in talent. Maybe they project Avery to play outside, even though he played inside in college. I actually think we have alot of options if someone needed to fill in for Schobert. Collins or Kirksey could move inside or they could play Peppers or Kindred as a linebacker in Greg Williams scheme. Outside just seems like Burgess is still the first option off the bench.

I think Nacua makes the team, he is hard nose and works hard.

They said they project Avery as a Will.
