And so it begins on September 9th, at 1pm at First Energy Stadium. The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon are slamming through Northeast Ohio. Severe downpours are expected throughout the day. The drainage conditions of First Energy's natural grass field will be a factor.

Other important factors:

-All eyes will be on James Connor, filling in the shoes of LeVeon Bell as lead back for the Steelers.

-Des Harrison feels similar pressure to rise to the occasion as new starting left tackle for the Browns.

-This is the Todd Haley Tequila Incident Revenge Game. You know he wants to put some points on the board against his former team.

-Cole slaw and french fries between two thick slices of white bread is a bullshit sandwich. Even when Pittsburgh hides some meat at the bottom, it's flavorless starch on starch with wet cabbage thrown in.

Win today ignites the city. Lets go.

Everybody else feels this is a win, right? Go Browns.

Austin Corbett -- Inactive

Why, why, why? I mean are you fucking kidding me?

1 day ago he was hurt that he wasn't starting and was ready to go by any means

Corbett goes from in the mix to start at LT when drafted to starting LG all throughout training camp and preseason to what appears to be a healthy week 1 scratch.

Woof.

Vegas pulled the game from the sportsbook. Not sure why but interesting

What is with Corbett

That pick not looking hot

It was a peculiar pick from the jump given the fact the Browns already had two very highly paid guards on the roster.

It’s perfectly fine if the organization views Corbett as the long-term replacement for Zeitler at RG or Tretter at C, but it sure seems they could have gotten better value out of the 33rd pick than what they got.

I have no idea who would snap the football if Tretter were to get hurt today.

I also have the same question. The season is a marathon not a sprint, so I'm not worried about Corbett eventually being a factor. He's too talented not to get on the field. I do wonder if there was a curfew broken or some story about why he is inactive entirely.

He could have pulled something at the end of Friday’s practice for all we know.
