Week 10 - DIVISION SHOWDOWN: Browns @ Bengals | Thursday Night Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This defense has been getting better by the week. They were magnificent tonight.
Just think about it: the Browns will be 6-4 at worst when the most gifted receiver in football goes online for us. With a defense that's healthy and has been playing excellent football for a month. We might be tough to deal with down the stretch, kids.

Getting it done against Oakland and Tampa was huge going into tonight. It wasn't about how the Browns won those games: it was about winning them, period, and understanding what it took to win and enjoying the taste of winning. That was a hungry, confident team we saw tonight, and that hunger came from the success of previous weeks.

But Hoyer isn't accurate and has a noodle arm. :(

Is Hill freaking stupid?

What does that say about your damn team when you got demolished by the team you think is "way worse than you thought"?

Hoyer is channeling Craig Morton for the '77 Broncos: avoid mistakes, sneak in a big play or two, capitalize on turnovers and breaks and find ways to end up with more points than the other team. He knows the game, knows his strengths and weaknesses. He understands what he's doing out there. He's gotten lucky on some bad throws as well, but that's okay.

Not great. But he knows what he's doing.

Good job boys.

I just read the transcript of his interview. He said some dumb things, but to be honest, it's pretty obvious he's not actually dogging the Browns (or, it's not his primary intent). He is trashing Dalton without calling him out by name. Hill basically was saying they could've/ should've won the game, but Dalton screwed it up. Still, a rookie getting his first start going after a 4 year starting QB... Probably not the time for him to be taking shots.

“Oh no, not at all. They’re probably worse than I thought, to be honest with you. They didn’t do anything special to me. I mean, respect to them, they won the game. But that’s all I’ll give them,” Hill said, via ESPN.com. “Those guys, they’re not that good. It was on us [Thursday]. We gave them the game, in my opinion. They didn’t do anything special. We just gave them the game. They just sat back with coverage the whole day.”

It's a bold move to cry about how bad the team that just dominated you is.

I'm curious, how does Gipson rate out on metrics?

No offense, but stop making excuses. The guy said what he fucking said. "Oh no, they're actually worse than I thought." He said it. Period. Same with that Simmons thing we're talking about in Cavs Talk. When you have a mic in your face, watch what you say. Tired of bailing these guys out.

Thank you Jeremy Hill for giving us bulletin board material for the rest of the season and especially for our next game against the Bengals.
