Go Browns!!

  • Houston hasn't won back to back road games since 11/22 & 12/2 2012
  • Despite losing 3 of their past 4 games, Houston has scored 21+ pts in each of those games
  • In their 4 wins, Houston is winning by an avg of 11.8 pts. In their 5 losses, Houston is losing by an avg of 7.6 pts.
  • The Browns have a +37 pt differential, which would be their best since 1994
  • The Browns are averaging 23.2 pts/gm, which would be their 2nd best since 1987 (2007 is #1)

Keys to the Game
  • Efficiency: Cleveland is +9 in turnovers, Houston right behind them at +7. Houston has forced an NFL high 11 fumbles & has an NFL high 21 takeaways
  • Watt-less: J.J Watt has 8.5 of the Houston 19 sacks; 7 of their 44 passes defensed; 3 of their 11 fumble recoveries. Hoyer has a tendency to get passes batted down
  • Keep Hoyer Moving: Hoyer rolling out has been one of the most successful play for the Brownies thus far, and they'll have to take advantage of that in this game. Keep Hoyer away from that dangerous front.
  • Playaction: Houston is 19th against the run, but 26th against the pass, allowing opponents to complete 65.5% of their passes (25th in the NFL)

If Foster doesn't play, we shouldn't give up more than 10-14 points unless we turn it over in a bad spot.

I like the way Houston's weakness matches up with the Browns offensive strength: deep passing plays. Houston might have a lot of takeaways, but they are actually right around the Browns in the bottom third of the league in sacks. They give up tons of yards, gambling for bigger plays defensively. This has led them to being 29th in the league in passing yards per game. If there has been one thing the Browns offense can do, it's punish bad defensive back play between the 20s for long gains.

Here's that punk ass Mallet carrying Hoyer's pads after a Patriots practice. He was barely fit to do it.

Starting to worry a little bit, especially since it looks like Cameron and Gibson are out. If Foster plays I will be very concerned.

This game is absolutely going to hinge on the running game.

If the Browns can contain the run against this team, I think Mallett makes mistakes with this weather. There will most certainly be snow on the ground for this game, which I'm ready for.

Cameron's brain is broke. Sucks.
