I’m not trying to excuse what Garrett did at all but go back and watch it. Garrett thinks he’s getting a sack, Rudolph takes offense and tries to pull his helmet off but he can’t. Garrett gets upset and yanks off Rudolph’s helmet. At that it should’ve been over but Rudolph again goes after Garrett like a madman. Then Garrett hits him with the helmet.

The awfulness aside and its implications....

One has to admire the fire in Mason's belly. Look at that face.

But, Mason is like a Pomeranian yapping at a Rottweiler. There was always going to be one ending to that conflict.

I really .... hope something makes the offense better. Too much talent for it to be what it is.
The ending is unfortunate. Game was over... and we all saw it.

However, after watching the actions of Mason Rudolph, who is a little bitch, and what is sure to be a moral panic and universal (and excessive) condemnation of Myles Garrett, I have come to this conclusion:

Fuck Mason Rudolph. He is no one's victim. Yes, it was wrong and dangerous to be hit with the helmet.
But he should have just laid down and taken the L. The game was over. At best, he would have gotten one more play with a roughing the passer call.
Instead, he tried to rip the helmet off the defender. Then after being let go, he goes after the defender on some BS. WHAT? That's just as stupid and dangerous. Refs should have been throwing flags right THEN.

I'm an Eagle fan. But I am rooting for the Browns and in particular, for Baker to figure it out. There is too much talent at the skill positions for this team to suck (Carlson with an "Ertz"-like catch to go up 2 TDs).

I hope the Browns recover from this debacle and this becomes a Bottlegate-esque meme.

There is no doubt he does. From reports around the team, Myles feels absolutely awful that he hurt the team, and accepts responsibility. Myles isn’t a bad guy who sets out to hurt people...he’s actually kind of a nerd. He got worked up in the moment and made a grave mistake.

I agree though, Myles will be back and will retire as one of the Browns GOATs at minimum. I'd like to see him a SB Champion (in Browns uniform).
