Week #12 - @Ravens 8:20 pm

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have to fix the WR room this offseason. Berry focused on the defense last year and did a pretty good job with it IMO. Has to focus on the passing game this year.

Dude, this year sucks no doubt.

But how is this the year that breaks you vs any of the 0-5 win seasons packed in between 2001 and 2019?

Expectations are everything.

If we all know the team is going to suck before the year starts, it just doesn't sting as much when the team ends up sucking.

But when we all think they're going to be great? Hell, almost every single poster to a man on this board thought the Browns were going to make a legitimate Super Bowl run this year and they're not even going to make the playoffs.

Hell yeah it stings more.

I’ll be honest.

Making the playoffs on the back of our offense to becoming a complete joke of an offense with no real subtractions is considerably worse than having no talent or coaching and expecting to lose.

Expectations are key. I expected this team to play for the division title. They’re probably going to be 7-10.
I'm massively disappointed.

I just see actual pathways to right the ship next season if tough decisions are made correctly.

In most of the previous 20 years, it was a yearly exercise in pretending like we saw a pathway to being decent but knowing based on who was in charge and what the roster looked like that there was close to zero chance of a competitive team.

So I was just questioning why this would be the year to break someone not just to the point of tuning out for the rest of the years, but checking out for good.

What is the actual pathway at quarterback? (and I'm legit hoping you have something I'm too stupid to see :))

Landry had a few great moments. A few.

He's not the 1A or 1B Baker needs, or any QB needs. He's a perfect compliment to any good WR or good WRs though. He's a sneaky good plug and play.

This sucks. I can't get into the games anymore. Thank the lottery gods for Evan Mobley.

This team just can't win close games. Meanwhile, that's all the Ravens seem to do. We're the Nebraska to the Ravens' Alabama.

2-4 in games decided by 6 points or less, and those two wins were to the Broncos and Lions in games that didn't really ever seem in doubt. The games against the Chiefs, Chargers, Steelers, and Ravens last night just feel different. The Browns either beat themselves, were in position to win at the end, or both... and they lost every one of them.

It hurts. We all had high expectations for this team. But whether it's injuries, officiating, bad QB play, malcontent WRs, terrible coaching... they just cant get out of their own way and we all have to suffer for it. All they did was upgrade the team in a big way from the one that was a quarter away from the AFC Championship game last year and instead of improving off that it's looking like a .500 at best season while the fucking Bengals are above us in the standings.

Baker not being able to make any plays outside the pocket is brutal.

That last drive watching him actually make some plays.o ly to watch the wide outs drop the ball is so.on point for the season.

He doesn't make enough plays and when he does, other guys don't.

And Stefanski...

No deep.balls that drive when that was the one thing working in the 2nd half?

If you’re talking about the last drive, there were never going to be deep balls.

You had to go 75 yards with no time outs and HAD to score a TD.

Ravens knew the goal was no deep plays. It wasn’t happening no matter who the QB was.

Baker is dog shit and I’m tired of watching the Browns lose games because their #1 pick and “franchise QB” can’t lead them to victories when it gets down to crunch time. Baker loses winnable games more often than not. Hell he almost fucked us last week against the Lions.

Teams stack the box and make life difficult on our running game because they know Baker can’t beat them with his arm.

I thinks it’s more after 2 really disappointing seasons in a 3 year span, we’ve now experienced every possible way to lose. Had we been habitually having high hopes dashed and now we were losing 10+ on average, then that might be equally as breaking.
