This week we have myself and @Amherstcavsfan

1. Would you retain Ryan Lindley for 2020?

@Amherstcavsfan - 1. I have let my feelings be known on the topic, but there is no way in hell I'm bringing Lindley back in 2020. I'm sure he is a nice guy and a good person, clearly he is a good friend of Freddie Kitchens. But we've seen this before when a coach has allowed his friend to get him into hot water (Pettine with O'Neil). If Freddie were to somehow survive and make it back in 2020, Lindley must be replaced by someone who will challenge Baker to be the best version of himself, an actual NFL QB coach rather than a guy who wasn't even a full time coach until part of the way through 2019.

@Juice Is Loose - There is a reason Baker has gone from an absolute monster in the red zone to pedestrian. And I think Lindley is largely to blame. Ken Zampese had years and year of experience and clearly was able to teach Baker in a way that resonated with him. We saw him make throws in tight windows, throw 0 INTs in the red zone and break the Rookie Passing TD Record. Lindley hasn't been able to get Baker to reach his full potential that you'd see in a QB in year 2. We need to move on from Lindley in the offseason and find someone whose proven in this league.

2.What is the biggest position of need in the first round?

@Amherstcavsfan - A lot of people will say offensive tackle, and most likely they are right. Most others would say the next biggest hole is at safety. I think they would be better off addressing that position in FA or later in the draft. Two position areas that I wouldn't sleep on is WR and DT.

The #3 WR this year has been a total debacle and the guy who is the best fit for that position is not going to be back in Higgins. There is no way they can come back in 2020 with either Damien Ratley or KhaDarel Hodge as their #3.

Larry Ogunjobi has been abysmal this year. It hasn't been talked about because the entire team has exploded nearly everywhere else, but Ogunjobi has been a major disappointment. Richardson has elevated his game and been terrific in the 2nd half, but Ogunjobi has been lazy and shown little to no effort this year. They might need to replace or bring in competition for 2020.

@Juice Is Loose - Sorry Amherst, but it's offensive tackle in a landslide. I can't watch anymore of Greg Robinson mental mistakes. And Chris Hubbard getting beat worse than butchers meat in a Rocky movie. If I want to see Baker grow as a QB, you have to protect him. The Texans were close to ending Deshaun Watson's career before it took off. They gave up a lot for Laremy Tunsil, but it has worked. Watson is one of the best QBs this year. Get two cornerstones on the outside, whether both come from draft or one. But you need to invest in the future in the first.

3. Other than winning the final two games, what do you most want to see out of this team?

@Amherstcavsfan - Mostly health and maybe some effort by the players. A few showed some effort in Arizona (Baker, OBJ, Hunt most notable among those who clearly hadn't given up) while the rest of the team flat out quit. If they do that against Baltimore, they will blow the doors off of you and will leave serious doubt for the future of a lot of players on the team.

One other thing, and it might seem to be a small thing, but I really want Nick Chubb to win the rushing title. We haven't seen a season from one of the Browns running backs like this in nearly 50 years. It would be big for the team, big for Chubb and big for hiring a new head coach, if that were to ultimately be the case.

@Juice Is Loose - Just give an actual effort for both games. Seems in Arizona, multiple players on the defense decided to take a mental vacation and it showed. We were carved up by a rookie QB and Kenyan Drake. That's just pathetic. Close the season out strong and show some effort against Baltimore, so you're not embarrassed in front of your home crowd and national TV.

I don't disagree with the sentiment that there must be help coming for OT in 2020. It would be nice to fill those holes, or at least mitigate the problem with a FA signing or two, but there is no doubt that need must be addressed.

I'm just saying, in what is probably going to be a historically good WR class and with the problems they've had at DT, I wouldn't rule out those two positions being addressed in the draft either.
