Week 2 2019 | MNF | Browns @ Jets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For all the complaints about Myles, he leads the league with 5 sacks and on pace for 40, lol.

You just dont want to coach the aggressive out of him. He can play smart, but both roughing penalties were questionable. As long they are close you are ok, its the 2 or 3 step ones like he had last week you cant have.

Or this has always been the case with Bake, probably the reasoning behind him being labeled a gunslinger and compared to Farve. He is high risk/high reward.

Best part is...is he is a young sophomore Qb that has been label extremely smart with high football IQ. I have faith he isn't done learning and getting better and smarter.
You have your theory and I have mine.

He's trying to prove something.

If you remember Booger McFarland playing football, his overtly negative coverage of Myles's dominance becomes an embarrassment of hypocritical amateurish journalism.

Gregg bet Baker wasn’t patient enough to make and complete 20-25 throws underneath, where he would have to be more methodical moving the ball. Plan worked for the most part......Browns just got bailed out by OBJ being all world. Our two longest plays were OBJ making an insane one handed grab and OBJ turning a routine quick hitter in to an 89 yard TD.

3 thoughts.

that first ball to OBJ was perfect. OBJ made one hell of a grab, but baker made one hell of a throw to only where OBJ could catch it.

OBJ did 90% of the work on that catch and run play, but baker still hit him in stride. i would still say general replacement receiver still gets 20+ yards on that play. OBJ made the magic happen but still a great throw by baker.

Overall baker needs to play better, because he should be playing better. But this play calling is fucking bullshit. Freddie needs to go back to the play calls of last year, because right now this offense is struggling

Offensive playcalling has been horrid, Baker is holding on to the ball too long, and the running game has been underwhelming. But, we’re 1-1.

I have to imagine the offense figures it out soon. This looks like the offense under Hue. If the offense does figure it out, though, then this team will be tough to beat. Defense really has not been bad either game.

Baker and Beckham have much, much better chemistry, the offensive line played decent, and penalties are down.

Positive night

I dont mind 1 offsides every couple games, he is trying to guess the snap count. Last week he had atleast one horrible personal foul i remember, maybe 2.

But this week he was just being a recking ball and if he was JJ Watt, those roughing penalties probably dont get called and gets the benifit of the doubt.

BTW, we should give credit that the line looked much improved. One call on Robinson, Hubbard got beat like a drum a bit, but the interior including Kush looked good.

Baker, Freddie and Monken need a coming to Jesus moment.

This shitty offense wont cut it. You cannot go for 50 yard bombs every goddamn play.

That was a professional ass beating. Browns were kind of sloppy and made mistakes but simply had more talent. The defense was stingy and had no problems getting off the field.

Fix the obvious, glaring holes and they will be fine. This is where Baker must take the next step in development. Reign it in and let guys make plays.

I thought the line, sans Hubbard, was worse than last week.

I mean we have OBJ and a premier slot receiver in Jarvis, Bake needs to realize that homerun play he wanted all night came from his easiest 5 yard pass.

Baker said exactly this at the presser. He understands what it takes to win, he’s just getting caught up in the moment right now. Hopefully he can find a rhythm Sunday night.

I didnt, Hubbard looks bad though, like really bad. We were getting beat almost every play off both ends last week.

Also helped we tried to run the ball this week too, the play calling was a bit better. I think some are blaming the play calling on the lack of accuracy from Baker this week,

Hope Njoku is Ok. He really has gravity in this offense. Once he went out, the Jets started squeezing the boundaries and it made it a lot harder on the downfield passing game. We didn’t seem to adjust with Juice or someone else roaming the middle of the field. We tried to plug in backup TE’s and run the same trees and it’s just not as effective without an explosive player at TE.
