Week 2 (9/18): Ravens (1-0) @ Browns (0-1)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So apparently...the spread on this game was 4 points. Innnnteresting...

Two options:

1) Win meaningless game in lost season. Continue cycle of suck.

2) Secure top pick in every round, built team that will compete for next decade.

Seriously, when you feel upset, read those two.

Not even close to the reality of the situation but ok

I've been all in on the tank since forever, but it sucks to be blatantly cheated out of a win like that. God the NFL is fucking garbage.

Biggest takeaway from the first two games:

We got some young players that can play from this draft. Coleman looks like he could be a stud in the making. If Gordon can manage to stay on the field, Gordon, Coleman, Pryor, and Barnidge are going to be a load for opposing secondaries for years to come.

Kindred is starting to look like a steal in the fourth. Love the way he plays the game.

Hope Nassib is OK. He looked great all pre-season and in game 1.

Hope McCown is OK. He's the only hope the Browns have of developing their young WRs. Griffin couldn't read a defense to save his life. McCown could at least go through progressions and get the ball to guys in the right spots most of the time.

McCown had some time to throw for the most part. Most of the hits he took came from holding onto the ball for waaaay too long.

Plenty of dumb shit that happened today, but I can't recall seeing this much promise from our draft picks in quite a long time.

Wizard of Moz, feel free to block me to save yourself from finding the time to disagree with every post.

What can be done about shit like this, you can't just fold up like a chair and sweep it under the rug. There has to be some criticizing of shitty officiating in the media and dissect the play making the case worthy.

We want to be able to 1) Draft Myles Garrett 2) Also have enough ammo to trade up for the QB we want too.

Going 2-14 and getting the top pick does that. Beating the Ravens to finish 3-13 and lose a tie breaker to draft 2nd on SOS does not.

I like you triple S

Glad to see someone with some GD passion about the team and not finding it funny to lose to a hated rival

I still haven't gotten over 1995.

I'm sorry about that. That team in the stupid purple uniforms? That's supposed to be ours. Not the team that has taken 17 years to become good.

I hate the Steelers more, and I'm semi-apathetic about the Bengal, but that grudge ain't going away until we have a Lombardi in our case.

Baltimore is a shit hole of a city, and didn't deserve our Browns. They never did. Fuck them, and Fuck their asshole fans.

But to go 2-14 you have to win 2 at some point

I'd be over the moon happy beating the Ravens twice

That's all I'm saying.

The Browns will win a couple games unless McCown gets hurt. Once Flash is back we are going to be really good on offense.

Seriously, you need to not think with you emotions of "oh the fans of Baltimore and their players stole the Browns". No, the Ravens players were children when that happened. My gf is 28 and not from Cleveland and she never even knew the Browns moved to Baltimore until I told her last year. It's not a big deal. And lets not let some sunk cost of 17 years ago affect our next 17 years.

Best case scenario...our young guys show promise, we lose a lot of close games, we get the top pick. Today checks all of those boxes. Think big picture. Think like a cold and calculating Paul DePodesta, not a Yee-Haw, hot headed, Jimmy Haslam. Just be patient, mow the grass during the games, and get ready to win big in 2017.

Nobody outside of Cleveland will care about that call though. "lol Browns."
