Week 2 Browns @ Ravens 1PM CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How many more lumps until Hue moves on in fear of losing his job?
I think Hue is safe, I think the entire organization is on the same page. This team is entirely too young, there is no way anyone is under the delusion that this is a playoff caliber team. This is very clearly a developing team.

I think what we're seeing right now is the Browns past front offices and coaching staffs paying the piper for not going after the Julio Jones and other's of the world in favor of trade downs for centers and defensive tackles.

The receiver position has definitely been neglected. Hue has at least -tried- to address it on several occasions but he's starting way the fuck behind on it.

You're going to have to leave it alone for a few years IMO.

I can also see what Hue is trying to run on offense and what Gregg is trying to run on defense. Both at least seem to mimic some sort of modern NFL offenses.

....

That's how low that bar is btw. I want you to remember what types of offensive sets we've seen the Browns run in the past. Like...something straight out of Woody Haye's 1955 playbook.

Guys give Kizer a chance here...he has no receivers no running game and is a rookie. He has the tools let him develope. We were not beating Baltimore in Baltimore....we're not there yet give it time

He's played like 8 games?

He's played 12 and has only been able to get over 50 yards three games. I expect more out of a 1st round pick that was regarded as explosive and a dangerous vertical threat.

Kizer is the youngest QB in the league.

Njoku is the youngest player in the league.

The Browns are the youngest team in the league.

Why aren't we lighting the league on fire? Why didn't this team open the season with back to back wins against two playoff caliber teams? Why is the FO not trying to blow up a culture they are two years into building that will turn the league on it's ass in a few years? Why guys?

So the book is out on him after 12 games? How many sacks does Myles need to register when he comes back to meet your expectations?

I never said the book is out on him. I hope playing with a better group of WR's and a consistent QB can help him out. But realistically, he has not shown enough to be regarded a top playmaker on this team. He's averaged 3 receptions and 38 yards in 12 games - that is disappointing for the 15th pick in the draft.

The original post was who are playmakers on this team and the response was Coleman. So yes, does he really count considering his contribution thus far? I think that's a fair question considering Crowell, Johnson, and our TE's have shown to be more consistent and effective than Coleman.

Gametime threads suck. Mostly clueless hot takes abound.

Our quarterback play lost us the game today. Just taking care of the ball and eliminating turnovers would have put us in a position to win. The rest of the team besides the quarterbacks had their problems but overall the rest of the team played well enough to win today. There aren't any other teams in the league who can overcome a fumble and 2 huge interceptions, nobody. Those were 900% on the quarterbacks.

I like Kizer and I can tolerate him as long as he gets better from the experience. Whether he does or not remains to be seen.

The migraine thing really bothers me. It was obviously bad enough for him to leave the game but not bad enough to keep him out? WTF? I didn't think migraines worked that way, not that I'm an expert.

Could it have been triggered by the noise? Has Kizer had a history of migraines? I haven't heard a word about Kizer and migraines until today, has anyone else heard anything before this?

Kizer having to leave for a migraine definitely gives me pause when envisioning him as the future of the franchise.

Obviously
Enlighten me then. How does he feel so bad he has to leave but he's well enough to play by the second half?

And if he has a history of migraines but he hasn't suffered one since high school, then his first NFL away game triggers him to have one, how is that not a concern?

You're so fucking smart, fill everyone in on this.

It's frustrating to have to be grounded in reality but this is very much true.

I think the equivalence would be if you tossed my college team, Purdue at Ohio State and...I don't know...Clemson? It's first two games. I mean they're going to look like shit.

They're not in their class. Purdue isn't even in the class of teams that are trying to get into the Outback Bowls of the world. They're in the class of teams trying to make those games played at Yankee Stadium, Ford Field or the 49ers new stadium.

so are...the Browns. They're not even in that Chiefs/Dolphins/Texans/Bengals place of being able to make it into the playoffs for a quick one and done exit. They're just trying to make it so that they're not picking top 5/top 10 any more.

Look up Ocular Migraines. I get them, and sometimes a heavy workout will trigger it. Here from WebMD

"Ocular migraines cause vision loss or blindness in one eye that lasts less than an hour. You can have them along with or after a migraine headache. Experts sometimes call them visual, retinal, ophthalmic, or monocular (meaning one eye) migraines."

This was my immediate thought. I know what it's like to have a blind spot from a migraine. You literally can look at someones face an not see their nose. Sounds strange, but certainly couldn't play QB when it happens.

30 min in a dark room and some Advil usually clears mine up and I'm good to go.

Because there is medicine that alleviates the symptoms of migraines.

And if he hasn't suffered one since HS, how is it a concern?
