Week 2 - March 1-7 Thread

Williams and Allen both looked pretty good today. Thats Allen's third outing, and he's gotta be working his way into the conversation.

Brennan with two more hits. Hes warming up.

Arias with two more ground ball outs. He's now hit the ball on the ground 11 times out of 13 times he has made contact.

Bo has hit the ball well today, but only one hit to show for it.

Valdes is having a career year in one inning...lol.

Web gem in the top of the seventh and a massive homer in the bottom.

Maybe the best game of ST so far, because of the pitching.

One run...9 hits...12 Ks...2 BBs.

So far among the starters, Lively, Williams, and Allen have been very good....with Bibee still to go.

Nikhazy, as a depth piece, has been exciting.

The big guns in the pen have mostly come out smoking.

Remember 8 pm start only on WTAM. Brito gets a look at 2nd again

Mentioned Webb and McK absence … McK seen on back fields in sim game taken to wall fly out by Genao. Webb getting action tonight

Is there some logic in starting Nunez at DH?
He is clearly #3 catcher for start of season till Huff is deemed ready. Yet, Huff is only getting 6th plus inning sub work now. Thus, give Nunez few innings C and few ABs to get ready if needed.

Also, I would expect more consistent back-2-back starts by regulars soon. Thus, his reps will go down. Yet, all 9 won't start today (mix them up).

He needs to get his ABs in... He's the 3rd catcher on the depth chart right now when it comes to experience... Though a major injury to Naylor, they still may add Huff or Ingle to the big league catching stadf since they are long term guys. If Hedges has a long term injury then Nunez will be added...
