Week #3 - Bears trap game

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I remember all of last year every inferior opponent we would play there were nervous people.

I'm beyond that. We legitimately have the best balanced offense in the league. Our record against inferior teams last year was impeccable and I expect it to be again. I think it's going to be hard to trap this team because of how good our offense is and what makes it so good. Linemen are pretty consistent players and we've got the best unit in the league

Browns roll but the defense will still leave people angry

Fields will probably break a few ten yard runs and people will immediately say “decapitate Joe Woods” I mean I might even say something awful in a slightly intoxicated state but my point is a physical talent like Fields will probably at least once — make something out of nothing. I am accepting of that.

I want to blitz a rookie QB a bit, mix up coverages and continue to stop the run. Montgomery’s counting metrics look pedestrian but he’s still a perfectly formidable back. If we neutralize him, Chicago doesn’t have a diverse array of pass catching threats sans Robinson. I think it’s reasonable that the defense can be serviceable today.

offensively, even if the rush attack is a tad stagnant like it was against Houston early, it’ll just be a matter of time before it finds a rhythm. It’s just too effective of a unit, scheme and talent combination to be completely neutralized for an entire game so long as the pass can be at least…respectable.

With Takitaki out, JOK should see an increase in snaps. Mack Wilson is not a starting caliber player, but he had a great game against the Texans. Let's hope he has another gem today.

Fields running around worries me a bit. Tyrod had an easy day scrambling last week, until that hamstring issue. Hopefully our defense shows up.

The big difference between Tyrod and Fields is between the ears. Fields will be in his first NFL start and first road game. Tyrod is a veteran game manager who also happens to run well.

EDIT - JOK era begins:

Baker isn't looking too sharp today. Missed chances.

Yeah, Baker not hot yet.
