Week #3 Spring Training - March 8-14

Interesting that they put Arias at 3rd and Freeman at 2nd (for the first time since March 1). But, it is our B lineup day ... and thus TV day (at 3 pm).

We honestly need to see these guys more anyways... These are the guys trying to make the team

We don’t need to see them. The staff needs to see them lol.

Besides, they’ve probably already made up their minds, right?

Rocchio has a good eye and takes a BB on 5 pitches.

Freeman flies out.

Rocchio has a great jump at 1st, but stops, and gets picked off at 1st.

Manzardo singles to RF.

Arias lines to 2B.

On to the bottom half of the inning at Talking Stick!

Ortiz was cruising, but gives up a solo shot to Stallings.

1-0 Rockies as we go to the 3rd.

Rocchio with another good AB; fights off a couple 98mph fastballs - BB

Another HR given up by Ortiz (to Stallings, again) - this time a 3 run dinger.

4-0 Rockies mid 4th; Ortiz is done after 73 pitches and about 8 throws over to first.

Did Stallings catch Ortiz at some point?

Ortiz has potential. But he needs to learn how to pitch in situations.
I put him maybe as the #4 SP right now. I was hoping for much better.
