Week 4 (10/4): Browns (1-2) @ Chargers (1-2) [4:05 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
except we have seen them both play.
I'll never fault a coach for not "playing the guys just to see what they have."

What kind of organization does that type of shit? Losing ones.

And no, the Browns may not win many games this season.

But building an organization that puts no emphasis on EARNING starting roles is not going to develop into a winner anytime soon.
lol if its was bortles or bridgewater you guys would be losing your mind but i guarantee they would be in the same situation Manziel is in right now.

Play well in practice? well its the second team.
Score two touchdowns and convert a key 3rd drive in his only start and its oh look at the almost turnovers and the passing percentage.

Manziel has figured out his biggest asset. the big play. keep him out there.
When Mcconwn gets pulled for having a bad game is that EARNING ones start?

What did Mccown do to earn his start besides going 1-12 in Tampa and looking more polished than a 2nd year player.

Manziel has Earned the right to start. He did everything the coaches asked him to. he got there early. stayed there late. He brought in people like Gruden to work on film watching and other aspects of his game.
He has showed he can stay in the pocket and has at the very least earned first team reps.

Johnny was kept out of a QB competition intentionally. before he even stepped out on the field.

I predict Mazniel will start by the 9th game.

Manziel has Earned the right to start.

So maybe he just isn't good enough right now? I think you showed he learned how to be more mature. Starting in the NFL at quarterback takes a lot more than a few months of maturity... and Manziel has to show more of those other things. Overall, McCown isn't preventing the team from winning. Manziel would have the same subpar support system McCown is trying to make work.

Poor Johnny, he's just the victim here.

I mean he brought in a noted media personality and former coach for film study.

I'm sure it was for the good of the game and in no way a PR effort of any kind.

Josh McCown completed just 7 less passes on Sunday than Johnny has in his career.

So tired of hearing about Johnny and McCown. Trade Johnny by the deadline, it'll be the 1st trade I can remember mid season.

Charlie Frye traded the day after starting the first game of the 2007-2008 season?

Johnny has as many 50+ yard touchdown throws in 39 attempts as Mccown does in 1762 pass attempts

I picture @Tornicade as Krang, that brain creature from the Ninja Turtles that was housed in the exosuit.

Neat.

I appreciate you refuting my meaningless stat with a meaningless stat of your own.

something noone has ever done. Johnny has made history for his age

Id like to see him break YA tittles records for most 50 yard touchdowns in a season by someone 23 or under which is 7. Only Joe Namath ever started out a season with more bombs (4)

here is the all time list for a season

most of the guys at the top of the list only played 14 games so Johnny still has a shot.

50 yard touchdowns are absolutely transferable and are a crucial predictor of success at the NFL level.

How do you spell elite? M-A-N-Z-I-E-L
