Also, JOK is really playing at a pro bowl level. His play speed is just absolutely unreal, seems like he completely shuts down any outside runs and flat passes to his side of the field. The way he's been such a sure tackler in space is eye-opening.

The speed is one thing, but i was worried about his tackling at his size. Well thank you JOK for making me looks stupid for every questioning your ability to tackle at the pro level. He has been an absolute beast.

the defensive line is just devastating at times; Cousins has been actually good this year and they limited him significantly. While your quarterback is the most significant representation of your offense, this rushing attack continues to just control games. Celebrate this defense, but don’t forget to Pat the offensive line and this two-headed animal that isn’t on the registered species list on the back.

We are absolutely stifling rushing attacks right now which is essentially eradicating a first-10 option or 2-10 option for offenses; that’s absolutely huge and advantageous as fuck. 2nd/3rd and long gives Woods way more options than when say — past defenses get gashed wnd they’re consistently facing 2nd and 2 or 3rd and 1 only to watch offenses convert in slow motion.

If you think you look stupid for this how about all the GMs that passed on him? What a draft night that was.

That's an understatement. He was one of the best QBs in the NFL through three weeks.

And you could even see it today. It’s not like he made mistakes, the defense just gave him no room for error and he was pretty much constantly under pressure after that first drive.

...and the Bears went back to being above average against the Lions. This Browns defense is figuring shit out, and hardly anybody contributing is even pushing the ripe old age of 26!

I, too, am concerned about the ceiling of this team with Baker as QB. It’s cool that we’re 3-1 and all, but this roster should have Super Bowl aspirations within the next 2 years, right? I trust our coaching. I love our defensive group. Our O Line is pretty rock solid when they’re actually healthy. We have great receiving talent on paper. Best running back duo in the league. But Baker is by far the biggest question mark.

Does anyone have confidence in Baker outplaying any top QBs in playoff games? Not washed up Big Ben. I’m talking Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, even Burrow... I feel like we could be in a scenario where Baker is holding this team back and we’ll need to make a decision to really take that next step.

What would it take in a trade to get Watson here? Would anyone be opposed to that trade now?

Lot to unpack here, but I think there are some quality discussions to have.

This roster has Super Bowl aspirations right now. I don't agree whatsoever that Baker is the roster's biggest question mark. He was phenomenal down the stretch last year and was leading the NFL in completion percentage through this year's first two weeks. He was just OK last week, and was terrible today, but I'm not going to sit here and say he's been bad as a whole. He was dominant to close last season. You bring up Mahomes and Lamar specifically, and we've seen Mayfield match each of them in the timeframe I am talking about - specifically last year's final game against Baltimore and this year's opener against KC. Those deserve equal weight (at least) to today's performance, right?

Allen has had his struggles this season. Burrow isn't even a sure thing yet either. Do I think Baker, with this Browns team, can play well enough to beat the teams of the guys you mentioned in your post? Absolutely! I don't view it as a 1 on 1 thing, however, which you seem to be alluding to.

Despite the name value and the hype, my biggest question with the Browns is their group of receivers. Landry's presence is so important to a group that is thin or green, depending on how you view the players that they have.

I think Watson is a fantastic player and is easily a top 5 QB in the NFL in terms of on the field talent, but I have 0 interest in bringing that person to the Browns. Call it overdramatic, but I'd re-consider being a Browns fan altogether if he were acquired before his investigation and lawsuits play out to their conclusion.

I would say pump those brakes and don't pimp those takes.

The risk attached to Watson right now should make him untouchable. Best case scenario is you just mortgage your salary cap and multiple future drafts.

That's the best case scenario! If everything goes perfectly in the courts, you just mortgage your future.

This is a road game, in a dome, against a team that will end up in the playoffs. I'm pulling for Baker to right whatever went wrong this season.

Can't say I agreed with Cousin Sal pre-game, but this is amazing...
