Isn’t knowing when to play another down a skill? Or at least a function of awareness?

The dude is scrambling around back there like he’s Michael Vick. Throw it away, go down, take a sack.

There has to be some measure of knowing when to try to extend a play and when it might be a bad idea. Or no?

This is so maddening, because the double standard is unreal. There have been at least a half dozen occasions or more where Baker has kept possessions and drives alive with his legs, evading tackles and running for positive yardage when the pocket collapsed. There have been examples of it every game.

It didn’t work this one time, and now all of sudden it’s “he should’ve thrown it away or taken a sack”

I’m sorry but the thought of paying Mayfield 35-40 million a year is becoming sadly hilarious. Dude just doesn’t have the consistency in his game to be in that tier

It might be this offense only works with an elite oline.

And no offense to Kareem Hunt, the true cowbell elite back on the team.

That said, we’re missing 4 of our top 8 offensive players( Chubb, Conklin, Landry, and Wills). Not many offenses wouldn’t be affected by that in a negative manner.

That said, bad pass for sure. Thats 100% on Baker and not going to quiet the chorus of doubters that is growing louder and louder

I'm sure Baker's statline will end up looking alright by the end of the game. But I know what my eyes are telling me, and Baker just isn't it, man. I don't trust him to make plays on 3rd downs. I don't trust him on passes more than 10 yards. He holds the ball too long. This team is going nowhere until we upgrade the QB.

I’ve seen Baker make that pass a million times. Don’t know why he’s so awful but dude probably won’t be in this uniform next year playing like that.
