Week 6: Broncos (5-0) @ Browns (2-3) [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Game killer was Tramon Williams getting smoked down the sideline right after we took the lead. I still cannot believe that really happened. Williams might be a consumate pro, however, he is that typical veteran cornerback we sign who has lost several steps. Now, i have no post game analytics, but it seems like every game he is getting abused out there. At this point, i would rather have a 2nd year player get some quality reps and get torched, than a veteran outside of his prime looking exactly his age.

I'm not sure he could have covered him much better than he did.

Manning put the ball in a ridiculous spot to spring him.

It was definitely a pretty ball, there is no doubt about that. I definitely give credit to the o-coordinator (forgot his name) for calling an aggressive play right after the score.

If someone has the stats on Williams, i am fully willing to retract my statement. It just seems like he struggling out there.

I will tell you it was sad to watch Manning yesterday. He ultimately won the game and made an absurd pass in the 4th quarter but man is he out of gas now. His throws to the sidelines were always wounded ducks but they are looping and slow now. How he's not picked off on those all the time I have no idea.

I hope the sheriff hangs it up after the season because if he plays out his contract he could be put into the Namath/Unitas category where guys just hung on too long.

Manning has always been a favorite of mine and I just love how he's handled himself over the years but this is sad to see now.

Last year, he was still relatively close to vintage Peyton. This year, he's relatively close to vintage Charlie Frye.

I'll be interested to see how quickly Denver wraps up a playoff spot. They may want to rest Peyton and extra couple weeks, even if it costs them a home game in the playoffs.

I agree on most points. The 2pt play was bad math and all on the coaches there.

I'm disappointed in the 2 lines the most. The D line simply can't stop any rushing attach no matter how good or terrible they are. The offensive line does not open up holes. We have talent so I'm not sure if it's coaching, scheme or the talent under performing but the backs don't have great lanes to run through. Not to mention we seem to give up a lot of pressure. Denver is a good pass rush team but McCown was sacked or at least bothered on too many drop backs today.

Our pass rush is also anemic. My god, we can't get home at all. Manning was never moved off his spot all day and Denver has a bad offensive line. This is a talent problem as teams are stopping Kruger because there is no one else on the other side that is any kind of threat. Mingo is a major disappointment in the pass rush department.

I couldn't agree more.

Denver's pass rush is very good, but they were without Demarcus Ware and for most of the game, Shane Ray. They were getting pressure with their backups' backups, meanwhile our pass rushers consisting of 1st-2nd round picks and highly paid FA acquisitions couldn't get past a shoddy line or stop two RB's who have been contained by everyone else all season. I don't know if pulling the plug on Jim O'Neill fixes anything, but the defense under Pettine/O'Neill's watch has been just dreadful.

There's so many things that are frustrating with this team that it's hard to believe we're 2-4 and only a few plays away from being 4-2.
