Week 7: Browns vs Bengals Battle of Ohio Part II

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Think it was from the perspective of the Browns trading a couple firsts to move up for him.

Seems crazy for a team that is trying to win and has a billion holes on defense.

I'm all in on this. There has to be some toxic af things going on with that relationship behind the scenes.

I doubt there's any toxic relationship or anything like that, but Baker has clearly played better without him. It just hasn't worked with OBJ on the field, save for a couple big games out of him since he came here. I think Baker just feels pressured to get him involved when this honestly needs to be a run first team with a passing offense that spreads the ball around.

So uh Baker without OBJ.....

I think Baker plays better when he doesn't have to satisfy other players need to get the ball. His decision making goes from making sure he feeds certain guys to reading the defense and just making the right pass.

No OBJ or Hopper. Jarvis getting touches with trick plays. Njoku and Higgins just happy to getting snaps.

Odell plays too hard for me to think it's a toxic thing. He's always out there blocking downfield and he literally got hurt today trying to make a tackle after a pick.

Exciting as fuck.

What was that, 20 straight completions to end the freaking game?!

Siri: DEFINE “Baker Mayfield.”

Because I cannot.

I’m not sure how to process what happened. Baker made big throw after big throw, but faced almost zero pressure. Higgins made more clutch plays on that last drive than OBJ has in two years. Burrow lit up the scoreboard and box score, but the Browns are a Myles Garrett injury away from giving up 30 to Akron Hoban.

I’m not sure how much was outstanding QB and how much is dreadful defense on either side.

Ultimately, we won an absolutely massive game in pursuit of a playoff spot.
