Week 7: Your 0 and 6 Browns vs. The Titans

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
On the plus side next week, we won't lose our Sunday afternoon.

Just our Sunday morning.

How have we kept the same special teams coach for years? When it feels like our special teams give up half a dozen penalties a game.

Because tabor has incriminating info on jimmy.

Can’t wait for Hogan to start next week and have Hue say he just needed a week to learn.
Then gets pulled in the third quarter for Cody Kessler

It's going to be real ugly next week if Joe Thomas can't play, especially if Kessler gets the start. Kessler is still shell shocked from taking all those hit and the concussions from last year. Realistically Kizer gives the best chance to even move the football with his quick release and his legs, if Hue can get out of his own way and come up with a real game plan.

I think going to overtime against the Browns officially eliminates Tennessee from the playoffs

Turnovers and penalties are pretty much the whole reason we haven't won a game. I'd say we could have had easily 3 wins if we were just average in those categories. I would be happy with that for this point of this season.

What does it take to reduce those? It is definitely on the coaches but it is on the players just as much. These players should be ashamed and embarrassed when they commit a penalty and they're making themselves losers with the lack of discipline.

The interceptions are a different animal. Harder to figure if Kizer just needs to turn some kind of a corner and hard to know when or even if that will happen. He might be an interception machine until his 4th year and 5th team in the league. Or he might have something click and figure something out this year. You just can't predict it until it happens.

I just disagree with people saying we should be riding with Kizer through unlimited interceptions. Hue does have a responsibility to try to win games and the interceptions are causing our losses. What else can Hue do with Kizer beyond benching him after he makes really shitty throws that cost us points? To me riding it out past the 2nd really costly interception when the game is still winnable is not acceptable.

I totally get what you are saying, but it is upto the coach to pick a QB - train him and ride with him. In the past Browns QB controversy was always between 2 QB. Now we are upto 3 QBs - Kesser / Hogan / Kaiser !!! WTH ? Unless this is an shoot for an orgy i dont want so many people in the mix ! We are regressing !

Hey guys at least the team is going to fucking London next week.

Maybe they can stay there with any luck!

After watching the Browns Vs Vikings - England will fall in love with soccer again ! Heck, they may even develop a taste for curling !

We don't have a starting quality quarterback. Kizer is the closest thing to being one but he can only learn so much, so soon. Force feeding him faster than he can absorb it will break him. Giving him fresh chances to succeed, then punishing him by pulling him from the game when he is the primary reason we're losing winnable games is perfectly logical. Then work with him some more, and give him another chance.

One of these games Kizer will take proper care of the ball and we'll win that game. That will break the cycle.

As for Hogan and Kessler, Hogan apparently beat Kessler out for the 2nd string job. But then when given his chance to shine, he shit the bed. Last year Kessler proved he was at least poised and he takes decent care of the ball. It is perfectly logical that Hue went back to Kessler as the primary back-up.

I understand the concept of picking one quarterback when you have 2 competent ones to choose from. We don't have any, and we're trying to develop one in Kizer. I think Hue's approach with Kizer makes perfect sense. Sooner or later Kizer is going to have the light come on and he's going to have an interception free game. Either that, or we just move on.

But Hue has an obligation to do whatever he can to try to win. But for Kizer and Hogan we would have a few wins by now.
