Week 8: Browns v. Jets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They added some teams around 2000, Columbus was one. I don't think there have been other name changes or adds since then. But not totally sure.

Las Vegas is getting a team.

Don't know enough about logos but that is probably very likely.

Thrashers moved to Winnipeg. Phoenix became Arizona. Lots of logo changes. Hell, the Pens went from 1 entirely different jersey scheme to their old school.

Hue butchers the clock again. This guy ceasing to be a bright spot.

Mccown is such an all or nothing QB. When he is on, he looks amazing. The moment he is slightly off, everything falls apart. The fact that when he is off, it just constant 3 and outs, that doesn't grow this team at all. If healthy next week go back to Kessler.

Ah well, too little too late.

No matter, we’ve got a World Series to win tonight.

I see that game went perfectly according to script. Keep fighting late, but, fall just short. Lose by less then a touchdown. Keep the tank rolling. A successful afternoon for team Garrett. :chuckle:

Crowell, Coleman, Pryor, Barnridge, solid run blocking and potential to be solid for Kessller.

I would imagine we will see a lot of defensive line picks next season.

what happened?

The Browns took far too much time scoring that final TD. They gave themselves no time even if they had converted the onside kick. I think they should've kicked the FG when it was first and 10 at the Jets 18 with one timeout and a little over a minute left. Then, try the onside kick. You needed a TD, 2PT conversion and a FG anyway to tie. Instead, the Browns ran 3 more plays, had to burn the final TO because the running play came up short and scored with 12 secs left. It was inexcusably bad time management. No one will care though since they are winless and lack talent and everyone on this message board appears to be in "tank" mode.

I disagree with you in regards to going for a fg at that point. You don't need to get as close as the 18 to kick a field goal. Made more sense to get the TD as you were already that close. Plus, if you failed on the 2 point conversion, you'd have needed another TD. So, going for the TD first was the best logical choice. They just needed to manage the clock better.
