So, I know we have to have at least one MD here that might know something.

Let me preface by saying that yes, I am very stupid and don't go to doctors regularly due to finances.

So about 2 weeks ago, I noticed a large fluid buildup on my left elbow. There was no pain associated with it so I didn't think much of it. It really hasn't affected my movement, strength, or anything else.

Well, after being annoyed by it, my friends and I made the brilliant decision to just get a sterile needle and pop the damn thing ourselves. Well, after pulling the needle out, I was met with a clear orange-ish fluid squirting from it. There was no pus, or any foreign matter in the liquid, so I assume it was just fluid in the bursae sacs. Is orange the normal color for that? Did I run across some rare issue that I really need to get checked out now? If it's not something to be concerned about, then I'll skip going to the doctors like I do for everything else.

I figured it was just popeye's elbow, but wasn't sure if perhaps blocked lymph would squirt out as an orange liquid, which is what I was really concerned about.

I knew it was either bursitits or lymphedema, basically just wanted to make sure it wasn't the latter.

And well, orange liquids squirting otu of my body are weird. I expected some bloody pus or something.

Oh Jigo, you're really cute when you're trying to piss me off.

You need to get checked out man. I remember having a similar experience in college and this article was what got me into the hospital.

Not sure if anyone will see this but...for 2 to 3 montha now I've had a rash start on one ankle and go to the other, that one heal and bounce back and forth. a week and a half ago, I couldn't take it and had to take off work. Not only was it itchy it was sore and very sensitive. It would swell 1/8" in a spot or two. So, I've got some cream from fellow workers who may have the same thing going on. It's a strong steroidal cream and is beginning to help. I cant see a dermatologist for another month but will be getting the cream prescribed to me. But I dont want to put a cream on the rest of my life or ever have this bother me like this. So, its really itchy, red and kinda blotchy, small blisters, started off pretty painful and not so much anymore. It also started on the ankles, now theres a few spots on my calves and a spot or 2 on my feet. I work in a steel mill, where it's hot, where my feet sweat, where I've got heavy tight boots, and I move alot.

I've been working there for almost 7 years now and this is the first time anything close like this has happened. Other people talk of the same problem but theirs couldn't be as bad as mine. I've tried different socks, taking my boots home, every kind of cream and soaps possible, changed detergents, cleaned everything and I just have zero answers. My family doctor had to of did more LSD than BillWalton. Anyways, I really have no where else to turn until my dermatologist appointment.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Maybe you have a nickel allergy? I used to work in a steel mill, and I would find little metal shavings on me all the time no matter what I was doing. Maybe you have a couple burrs that got in your boots, or something?

You're gonna want to get some petroleum jelly, and a few tabs of LSD just to be safe.

Sincerely,
Dr. Dog

Thanks Dr. Dog, hahaha. I've thought hard about that before. Where I work is a Galvanizing mill so I work with Zinc and they add some nickel into it for more shine. I know alot of people are allergic to nickel. I actually bought some new reebok, met-guard "boots". Low cut and heavily ventilated. But maybe I'll look in my old boots and see if I can see anything. Also, it looks like there is one spot in my left ankle where it almost seemed to originate. It's kinda like a little indent but red around it. Thanks for responding Dog

When is the last time you came into contact with X’s elbow juice? You may have a rare AIDS allergy.
