I am excited and baffled all at the same time. This guys a monster and we got him for entirely too cheap.

Him needing resigned means nothing to me considering we gave up nothing to get him. We will at least have a chance to resign him in the offseason compared to if we didn’t trade for him he wouldn’t have even given us a thought in the offseason.

The only problem I have with this trade is the fact that he'll be a free agent after next season. I just don't see him wanting to re-sign especially if the team still isn't any good next year.
I guess we can flip him for assets next trading deadline if things don't go well?

I really wanted him instead of Dion.

One of the underrated aspects of this, is that few teams have much to offer him this offseason, so we should get a reasonable price for the best rebounder in the league.

Edit: Didn't realize he has an option this summer, which he will take if he is smart.

My only guess is that the Pistons GM has been taking extreme advantage of the legal weed in Michigan now.
Listening to this talking mouth (Matt Derry?) on 92.3 and he says the Pistons wanted to unload him because of being a under performer.
