Would be an all-timer if he didn't. Right up there with Elvis Dumervile / Broncos fiasco dumb.

Why bring that up,I still can't believe that nonsense...lol

And,yes I was a former Broncos fan up until 2016....

This is a negotiating ploy- either to get an extension with the Cavaliers or, more likely, a trade to a desirable team. Drummond’s camp is trying to hold the Cavaliers’ feet to the fire.

Normally, I would side with the player but he makes it sound like the Cavs need him....

Wow, I thought he had to already exercise this? When does he have to decide?

Whatever. All the options are fine for us, something good either way.

I don’t like how people are talking about Andre Drummond like he’s a bum. It’s like people think players can only be three things. All NBA, All Star, or a bum. Andre Drummond can ball and he’s still one of the top bigs in the league.

He's always been a very talented guy. His problem is that he insists on playing too much outside his skill set, and it can make him a net negative player despite his talent.

Don’t really understand what leverage he thinks he has? Either take the player option for 27 mil or sign an extended one for less?

It looks like the idiot Knicks are thinking about giving him a big fat contract-maybe we could get something in a sign and trade-the thought of him him dribbling behind his back and between his legs and the bricking a 3 is not very appealing.

With him, his versatility and his skill set, there’s more there. I know it was a limited amount of time that he played with us last year but there’s more there and we have huge expectations for him...there’s no reason why he can’t be one of the best defensive bigs and anchors in our league. I’m going to put that pressure on him. That’s my expectation for him. - J.B. Bickerstaff

No problem - they're only planning on playing 72 games.

If they go ahead with the Dec. 22 start date things are going to start happening rather quickly. Free agents need to start making some decisions. The big question for the Cavs is does TT return or sign elsewhere? Potential draft picks are doing pro-day style workouts. Any pre-season trades have to get done quickly so the players can be in place when TC starts.

Drummond is picking up that option unless they believe a team with cap space, like Miami, will present him with a big offer. I think he & his agent have felt out the Cavs in terms of what they would offer for an extension, and they didn’t like it. Now they’re working back channels to feel out potential free agent suitors. Drummond grew up in the Northeast and he lives in south Florida in the off-season, so I believe he has eyes on two places- Boston & Miami. Boston would require a trade while Miami could sign him if they renounce all of their free agents. New York could be an option as well if he’s just looking to get paid.

I highly doubt Miami would have interest in Drummond. They have Bam and are saving their cap for 2021. Offensively Drummond and Bam wouldn't work together in todays NBA.
