Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think you are looking at someone like the Kings where you get Buddy or Barnes back in return.
Not sure you really want/need either and both contracts run for another 30 years or something.

Honestly just play out the year and let him expire unless some contender out there comes and blows us away. Or, at least, offers us expiring money and a 1st rounder. Which won't happen this year.

He's playing good basketball. People REALLY hone on in on his bad plays but he is absolutely a positive player this year. You've gotta let go of the shitty shots and see the overall impact.

The frustrating thing about Drummond is he does a lot of great things for the team, but as a consequence of that you have to live with at least a small handful of clunky and selfish offensive moves each game.

Allen is a natural better fit and honestly played a perfect game in fewer minutes.

Drummond had 19 points and 16 rebounds in 27 minutes, and Allen had 19 points and 6 rebounds in 19 minutes.

Drummond also had 4 assists, but Allen was 7 for 9 shooting.

They’re pretty much 1A and 1B for the time being.

Agreed. Doubt he gets bought out now, the Cavs are gonna make a real run at the post season this year(withou sacrificing the future)

You know that saying sometimes you have to take the good with the bad......it really applies to Andre. But taking the good with the bad means acknowledging the good exists, has an impact, and not screaming bloody murder every time he does something that is just consistently who he is and how he plays.

What makes Drummond frustrating is that he'll play within the offense for stretches of time, moving the ball and legit making the team better. Then other times he'll just force up terrible shots because on a given possession he decided he was shooting goddammit. I just wish we could get good Drummond all the time, because good Drummond looks amazing. I am pretty sure that if he played like that all the time, he'd make a hell of a lot more money.

JB has the luxury of just pulling Drummond when is messing around. Just do it and see how he responds.

he was better today apart from the final 2 mins of the first half, I think after that he started to play a lot more team oriented and was setting screens instead of calling for the ball

There were 2 consecutive plays in the 2nd quarter I did not like of him where he has the bad habit in complaining to the ref which caused the opposing player to get an easy dunk and then following his frustration to get an offensive foul.

But other than that he played well. His passing is underrated. When he looks for players he does really well. He has such nice passing for a big man and there were at least 3-4 plays where he gave a nice pass underneath for easy layup/dunk.

When the Nets about to make a run in the second half, Drummond gave the team some buckets that really needed that scoring as they had a small drought.

In fact he passed the ball to his guards after he rebounded today and sets of screens for our guards. Progress is progress.

I prefer that hook shot over any "bunnies" seems more under control, less likely to get blocked

He hustled well at the end so kudos. Still 3-4 plays where all I could think was just how deflating those are for a team fighting the right way.

If we manage to rein him it, that would be quite the scoop. I'm still very sceptical we can.

Drummond said in his interview

"We don't want cute games, we don't want easy games. We are going to make it ugly, we are going to make it hard and may the best team win. Night in night out that's us."
