Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The rockets are trying to dump cousins, I hope that doesn't make it harder to trade Drummond
I don't think it will. Drummond can still play, Cousins is pretty much done. What's keeping Drummond in street clothes is very simply $$,$$$,$$$. I think its a game of chicken. Teams want him. We want them to have him. He's good enough to make genuine contenders out of a couple of teams, or take contenders and make them favorites. Cousins can't offer that anymore. But at what cost and who, if anyone, is willing to pay it?

I am starting to think there was a trade that fell through. They said he was warming up for the game, can't remember if it was Clippers or Warriors and he went back to the lockerroom and when he came out he was in street clothes. Says to me that they sat him to be traded and then he wasn't.

If we know he wasn't responding to coaching and being a good teammate, other teams do too.

It annoys me that the Cavs can't act as if they are a normal organization.

This makes sense. I could see it being Toronto that was willing to take him but they wanted to do right by Lowry and send him directly to a contender or something like that.

Was the philly thing BS?

I keep wondering if Drummond gets jealous enough to suit up again. Must be hard to watch what Jarrett is doing. HE is absolutely killing it.

if I was gilbert and no one would trade for Drummond there no way I would buy him out than in summer all the NBA favorites would get in bidding war no one helped us out .. that way also the Lakers or Celtics Clippers Mavs would not win

There was talk on ESPNRadio this morning that the Raptors are trying to reward Lowry for his great service to the team by looking to trade him to a contender (Philly; his hometown and the Clips to be reunited with Leonard and Ebaka) and that Cleveland might be one of three teams involved to make it happen!

Sounds nice on the surface, but I’m struggling to see a scenario where getting involved in that deal wouldn’t straddle us with some long-term money.

Agreed.

The only scenario in which I'm interested in taking back longer-term money for Drummond is one that gets the Cavs a building block or two. I'd need something like the Minny pick from GS, as the cost-of-doing-business for taking back Wiggins' contract, in order to trade Drummond instead of simply letting his contract run out. (Not saying I'd take that specific deal -- just using it as an example of what I'd need to hear to not hang up the phone.)

longer than a year, but doesn't need to be 3 or 4.
I'm not sure how to get in on a 3 team deal with Raps and 76ers w/Drummond. Seems like the only landing spot via trade for AD though.

Hmm this is actually interesting: pretty straightforward scenarios here
-Drummond to TO
-Lowry to Phi
-Cavs get Mike Scott, Danny Green, some first rounders their choice of guys like thybulle or maxey?

Odd thing I'm not sure Cleveland needs to be involved though: this can be straight swap between To and Phi and TO gets nearly the same amount of expiring money and some promising players

Must be eating at Drummonds ego that teams aren't going out of there way to get him, they just view him as a rotational piece. You are what you are.

I don’t see anyway for the Sixers to be involved without Tobias Harris being included.

He’s a nice player, but that contract...

I guess after that shit show tonight, desperation will allow us to move Drummond.
