This guy is going to go back to DNP coach's decisions once Love and TT get back. You can just tell with how Drew is treating him now. He had 12 points on 60% shooting and 12 rebounds in just 23 minutes despite having guards who seem incapable of getting him good looks.
I think the front office will need to step in and make some directives to Drew. Nance hasn't proven he can stay healthy playing the majority of his minutes at center. They really need to just make him a PF once TT and Love are healthy. Experimenting playing Nance at SF in big lineups could help the tank too.

I think Zizic has shown he deserves minutes. He should have been getting 24+ minutes the moment Love got his surgery. The coaching staff also wasted 50+ games that Nance could have developed playing PF.

Man he is looking pretty good and strong. Had some sick rebounds. I think he has IT. Gotta keep developing him.

I'd love for him to start, but maybe he can at least play with Nance off the bench.

Really been liking his defense. Inconsistent, but he has more potential there than I thought. Looks much better sliding his feet than earlier in the year

His defense is improving. The guys floor is a 14/12 kind of guy. He is doing that now in 20 mins. Would like to see him playing with love and loves passing abilities

He was just absolutely manhandling anyone that had the misfortune of switching onto him yet the guards couldn’t make an entry pass to save their lives
That's what I noticed at the game. There were a fair number of fouls called on Wiz defenders who fouled him to keep him from gettibg position/rebounds.

One negative about him is that he occasionally seems weirdly passive when a shot goes up on the offensive end. He doesn't fight for offensive rebounding position, and just sort of relaxes and stands there.

Other times, he goes after them like a beast.

My issue with Zizic is that he is ground bound. This limits the options as far as passing when he is involved or uninvolved directly in a play. A big that isn't a lob target can be some what limiting to the overall offense. That unless you can run an offense through him similar to Jokic?

I think we need to run an offense sometimes that is somewhat Zizic centric and see how his gravity holds. He does have trouble at times moving bigger guys(like Mahinmi) in the post, so you need to do whatever it takes to at least punish switches.

"Zizic centric" sounds a bit extreme, but yeah, I agree he should be at least the 2nd or 3rd scoring option whenever he's on the court. Given his strengths and weaknesses, it's nonsensical to use him as a purely off-ball player like we sometimes have done.

You catch my drift...

He isn't used to his strengths and he can't be used as a free flowing player in the offense because of his physical limitations (at least until he develops a good mid range jumper to counter his lob deficiency).

Hopefully in time he will be able to shoot some 3's, attack the basket with a live dribble , etc to make this a non issue. Still, it's not that big of a deal.

Honestly, I think this is why he's a pretty decent fit with Nance, especially if both guys work to extend their range out to the 3-point line. They both have their own roles on offense, and they compliment each other pretty well on defense too.

"I must say Ante, you remained remarkably vertical when you contested that shot!"

"And your weakside block on that last possession was textbook, Larry. Well done sir!"
