Theoretically Ante Zizic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
And not be given the ball near the ft stripe

If not there, then where?

He is a pitiful lob target, so he needs to find other spots in which he can be effective as a roll man in the flow of the offense, and since they are limited, getting the ball near the ft line in the PnR is a must spot for him. He needs to improve in that area.

This team needs a "real" center ... Z nor Love nor Nance is the answer. Zizic is probably a rotational player at best in the NBA. The love for him is outrageous. Yes he is getting better, but the only place to go for him was up.

At this point, do you guys consider Z to be a rotational player or still a prospect?

Yeah, he is a really nice screener. I hope his offensive game becomes similar to a poor man's Capela. Screen, roll, and pass. Right now his limit is that he is not really a good target after the screen, so sometimes teams just play off him.

But I really like the guy. At worst he'll be an NBA rotation player for a long time.

He's a guy we want to keep. He has height and some natural skills. He's a guy that the coachs and trainers need to put some time into. Bulk him up a little and teach him to better play the game.

I know that he was quoted a month or so ago saying that this is upcoming summer is very big for him, that he needs to get stronger, etc.. One thing that I think is very encouraging about him is his footwork. Not just that it is good, but that having good footwork is something you get from practicing/studying the game. Same with setting screens. That tells me that he's a guy who is willing to work hard on his game.

He's a better scorer than Brad Daugherty?

He's ELITE??? He's up there with Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis as a scorer?

Just a silly take.

If Zizic played in the 80's and 90's, he would be a legit 20-10 guy.

That being said, he's not as versatile as Embiid or Davis, but if he ever learns to shoot from the outside? He could easily be as deadly as Embiid, sure.

So we’re landing on Zizic is Embiid with slightly lesser range and he would have been Brad Daugherty in the 80s. (Not David Robinson tho? I don’t want to be unfair)

This is where we are right now?

Meanwhile, one thread over, Sexton will just have to be shipped out, because he only gets 3 assists a game and used to shoot too many long twos in his first month of pro play.

Some people might consider examining the life choices that lead them to this point.

Come on.

I play this guy in draft kings sometimes. He’s like $4100 but has no legit chance to do anything. Generally he doesn’t pay off. He averages like an abismal FPTSPM and a terrible usage rate.

What a trade ha. It’s funny because as a city I think we’ve made really good trades throughout history especially my lifetime of being a fan. But that Kyrie trade... Yikes

Its silly to mention Zizic and Emblid in the same sentence. He has not been good the last few games (+/- notwithstanding). His rebounding has been poor, his defense has regressed, and he has missed some easy shots. He looked better the previous week. Perhaps he is just tired from the roadtrip and not use to the heavy minutes with Nance out. He definitely needs to get stronger in the off-season.

Not saying that he is hopeless but lets wait to for him to be a consistent rotational player before deciding he is going to be all-NBA.

I see Zizic as a Gortat kind of guy. If he remains healthy, gets stronger, and figures out defense, he can help a playoff team. But he is not Elite, which i would say Emblid is..

And thats a great find in the kyrie trade.

I dont think the traditional center is coming back, but there is a place in the game for exceptional big men, when they show up.. Kareem, Wilt, Shaq are examples of exceptional athletes who were also 7 footers.. But the game is fast enough that you cannot be a seven foot plodder and still expect to start.
