Sixers declined Furkan Kormazs option then brought him back cheaper. Zizic is okay. Hes flashed but he's really not someone who we should be worrying about. Injuries with him have been constant. If he's not in Beileins plans moving forward so be it.

Definitely weird to decline his option. 3.8 million isn't even over paying him if he averages what he did when he played last season. He also becomes an unrestricted free agent in the summer now.

Or maybe they don't want to invest another year in a injury prone throwback big. I like Zizic and has upside. But we brought in a new coaching staff and he is really a terrible fit for Beilein.

No reason Zizic can't play this TT role right now of finishing around the basket and rebounding/setting screens.

TT seems like the best Center in the league right now, so Zizic would not be that good, but he could be that type of guy.

I would have picked up his option because TT and Henson aren't under contract for next year and are expirings. Even if Koby drafts a center and a PF or big wing, I think there is still room for Zizic. I think it was too early to make a decision if he fits or not. I'm fairly sure if he was healthy you could dump him fairly easily to another team if need be.

Much easier to dump without the 3.8 million guarantee for next season. Just one more expiring contract to add to the pile.

Zizic doesn't have nearly same athetlic ability as Tristan does at this point. Beilein had him in practice and must not have liked what he saw. Zizic was fun and looked good at times but lets face facts he's a throwback player to the 90s and early 00s. His odds of finding success in the current NBA aren't very high. Much like Poltl who went from being a lotto pick to a scrap heap piece.

Poeltl would be cool. We don't even know what we have with Zizic. A couple of years ago he got the starting nod over Zubac who is starting on the best team in the league and has a similar game.

He has shooting touch too. I don't see why he couldn't develop a 3.

I was not suggesting we add Poltl. Players like Poltl and Zizic just don't fit in today's game. Zubac is more athetlic then Zizic. Also Clippers bring their best big off the bench. Harrell should honestly start at center for them but they don't want to mess up the Lou Will - Harrell bench duo. The fans don't know what we have in Zizic but the FO and Coaching Staff who see him daily do and clearly don't believe he's a key piece for the future.

Hopefully Wiseman shows out at Memphis and we get a early enough pick for Wiseman. Or Isaiah Stewart. This draft is cluttered with Guards early and we need help on the wing and upfront. But if the new coaching staff isn't high on Zizic so be it.
