Theoretically Ante Zizic

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Expected more from a native speaker..especially you Nathan.

Also, Zizic's defense continues to improve, no? he is a handful against switches imo.

Yeah, just needed time for the game to slow down for him. He was never an outstanding shot blocker, but I always thought he did everything else on defense well enough relative to your typical NBA 7-footer.

His footwork on offense is exceptional for his age. That footwork will translate to defense st some point. Maybe Z and Cedi are our first building blocks

Oh my GOD I wonder how long I've been doing that. :doh (27):

I have a few issues with the English language like this . Macro micro, inter and intra, affect and effect seems to really throw people.

Opposite words that are too alike and worse similar words that are too alike. Emigrate and immigrate

Ante and Anti - just for relevance

Ah yes, the subtle difference between "There are too many Anti Zizic fans around here" and "There are too many Ante Zizic fans around here"

I'm hoping so. At the very least we have two young players who have shown some real promise, a 20 year-old rookie 8th pick who is a work in progress but should be a decent rotation player, a multiple time all star under contract for four years and a lottery pick on the horizon. The record sucks and the games have for the most part been hard to watch but IMO we are light years ahead of where we were in 2010-11.

Completely agree. Zizic. Cedi Sexton nance and I still like Nwaba and draft choice are a start. Love and Tt are better than anything we had in 2011. TT will have a lot of value next year at the deadline. Love ? Also might have a lot of value after free agency
Still have hood Burke’s Clarkson to move for assets. If love gets healthy and we fall into Zion could’ve a quick turn around

So far this season I feel we have about 3 of a core 7/8 man rotation for a playoff team in the future. Cedi seems to be capable of being that second ball handler/ 3rd best starter, while Zizic and Nance have locked up the 5th starter and first big off the bench roles (you can put either of them in either role). Hopefully Sexton can develop enough to make me feel comfortable with him has a 4th starter or a 6th man but I’m not holding my breath.

Nice article on Zizic with some quotes from him.

"I'm looking forward to summer; this is going to be a hard-working summer for me,” said Zizic. “Because I know I can improve on my athleticism, improve my body, my quickness, my speed. I think that's what's most important right now."

He needs to continue to work hard and improve. I was hoping since he has gained a great deal of experience and proven that he can play at least as a role player that they would consider trading TT. We will see what the next 7 days hold.

If we could get a 1st round pick for TT we have to do it.

I'm not sure who would need TT right now. I think we have a logjam of bigs at the moment. It makes more sense to move TT and keep Henson or acquire another big to be our 4th big.

It's kind of a waste of young talent for Zizic or Nance to be limited to our 3rd and/or 4th big with limit minutes.

Amazing its taken this long to play. And I love all the people that were saying "he sucks, see" when finally got some burn. Well, yeah, he's been buried on the bench for about a year.

Playing non significant minutes.

Who wouldn't be thrown into the fire and struggle a bit? I just thought that was so premature just to write him off because of that.

Averaging 12 and 8 since playing. Man this organization is so damn laughable at times. In an obvious rebuilding year, it took this long to play him.

The more he plays the faster he'll get better.

Such a joke.

I probably get a lot disagreement on this but whatever, haha....This is the problem I had with Zizic he came into Camp, lazy ,out of shape, and really didn’t work on his game like he should have over the summer , hell he was playing behind Zubac, on his national team, and once he realized he was going to be the 4 big on this team, his action on the court reflex that early on, and most likely in practice......

Now that he getting some run, he realizes what he need to improve on, his body, athleticism, speed, etc etc....He was on the roster all last year, he saw the the elite player in the NBA all last year, you should be able see from the bench these boys are good, and I need to improve my game tremendously to play with these guys, hell I think he even started a couple games last year....look what Cedi did over the summer, he knew he had to get bigger, stronger, and improve his shot...I’m rooting for Zizic but I get frustrated when people go ,see he should have been playing all year, he just admitted he basically didn’t train hard over the summer, he basically the same player from last year......So I’m happy he getting it, but it shouldn’t take playing time to do it, you have to earn it...See Delly......

Yeah I disagreed with your stance on Zizic. You can say whatever you want to about how a player should be able to figure it all out from the bench just from watching LeBron or whomever. But I don't think that's true for everyone. For Zizic I think he's been able to hold his own against every level of competition he has been up against and being young and immature he assumed he would be able to do that against NBA level players also.

Zizic needed to experience real minutes to fully realize what he's up against and what he needs to do to succeed at this level. He never got that until lately.
